  1. I really like what you've come up with!! This is one of the best snap builds that I've seen! The back of your sleeper reminds me of the old Joe Mustang H Model Mack. He diamond plated the back of his cab in place of a headache rack from what I understand. Great work!!
  2. Well Said Bill!! Thanks to everyone who makes this forum possible!
  3. Any type of truck med or heavy duty. Post a picture of what you are starting with. Parts from multiple kits are fine, new or rebuilds. I don't remember the last time that I built straight out of one box anyway. I'll put you down for a 359 then.
  4. You never know unless you try. There's nothing to lose.
  5. OH WOW!! It looks like you're off to an EXCELLENT start.
  6. Okay everyone, so far we have 14 entries. Thanks to everyone who have entered so far. Don't forget, the contest doesn't start until Feb 1, so no actual building until then. Make sure to have a thread started by then though. I've spoke with Dave at A.I.T.M. and we will have a $25 credit with him for the winner of this contest! I'm looking forward to some great builds!! Brian
  7. Come on and join Kerry, you know that you want to!
  8. Anything above light commercial 1/25 or 1/24 scale.
  9. I don't think anyone will have a problem and I am personally looking forward to seeing this one completed. Old square cabovers are my favorite.
  10. The build doesn't have to be from a kit, it can be scratch built. You have a lot done, but if you were to cast it in resin it would amount to the same starting point for someone else using the resin conversion. I don't have a problem unless someone else does, so I'll put you down. The main reason for rule #5 is keep anyone from having a big head start. The way I see it, you are starting with a cab conversion that you've mastered. However, If anyone who is entered into this contest has a problem with this entry, please send me a private message and we'll discuss it further. I want to try to make everyone feel like they're being treated fairly.
  11. That's no problem. The proposed rules and entry lists were on separate threads. That's my fault. That's why I put them together now. Besides, a lot of resin engines, both halves are already together.
  12. I've have added the rules and prize information to this thread to keep everything together. Thanks, Brian
  13. Gary Wallace has the hood for $15 or at least he did. A.I.T.M. has a dump that is similar but a little shorter. It is a 14' bed.
  14. Mines doing the same thing with Firefox.
  15. Very cool build!! Looks great!
  16. I can't tell much from this picture:
  17. Jeff, I think that some of the problem may be that on the 1:1 the frame drops, but even at that it looks like the radiator tank is the only thing taller than the engine. Would it be possible to lower the fan and decrease the diameter of the blade slightly to make it work? Here's an under cab picture: I don't think that you can modify the floor pan much:
  18. Very realistic weathering! Great work!!
  19. Jeff, I went through your build thread and the only things that I see assembled are the engine (partially) and transmission. Like I told Pat, if you were using an aftermarket parts such as an engine or trans you might be starting at the same point. I don't see a problem unless you have more completed than what I see. If someone else has a problem they can let me know. So just let me know which one that you choose; 352 or 4270. I'm just trying to keep things fair for everyone without being hard to get along with.
