  1. You did an excellent job capturing the original!!
  2. Wow!! This thing is really taking shape fast!!
  3. The So Reals are Ebay from time to time for $30-$50. Scenes Unlimited has rubber casts that are nicer than the originals. They also have some rims, but from what you are describing, they are probably not what you are looking for either. If you are skilled with the lathe, that is probably your best bet. I too, have a hard time finding rims for 4x4s in the styles that I want. Your other choice would probably look better if you could pull it off. Since the tires are resin, you may could make a plastic insert, then sand it and mold it into the rest of the tire to get it closer a 15" instead of an 18". That is something that I have always wanted to try, but have not been brave enough to tackle it.
  4. Looking Great so far!! I would have hated to work on one of these since the cab doesn't tilt though. They are still one of my favorite old cabovers. I had one to build once, but the quality was pretty bad, so I got rid of it. Maybe I can get one from Illini Replicas this year. Looking forward to more!
  5. Looks like a great project! I almost built a wrecker too, but decided to go another route. I'm looking forward to seeing this one!
  6. Well neighbor, I for one am looking forward to seeing this one!
  7. I have followed this build for some time. It came out great!! Your time and detailed care have created an excellent model!
  8. John, do you have any rear rims from a Pro Stock, or Funny Car? They are usually 5 lug and I've used them in regular Swampers before. They are not perfect, but don't look too bad.
  9. Thanks guys!! I'm hoping to get started on this one soon! Jacobus, if I'm not mistaken, all of the H models were called "Cherry Pickers."
  10. Cool project!! I've always wanted to do a restoration! This will be good!!
  11. Cool project choice!! Looking forward to more!!
  12. I can see that this build off is going to produce a lot of my favorite trucks. This is one of my favorite trucks. This will be a cool build!! Looking forward to more!!
  13. I like old Superliners!! The company I used to work for had one of these, and I had the privilege of working on one of these for a while in the 1:1. Looking forward to more!!
  14. Interesting subject choice! Interested in seeing more!!
  15. This will be good!! Looking forward to seeing more!
  16. The interior is finished. It is not perfect, but I'm pretty satisfied. The dash pad is duck tape. It is not meant to depict the original, but a covering of the original that was often done around here by upholstery shops. It didn't look all that great on the1:1, but was very common. It was the only look that I could be partially satisfied with after several different tries and ideas. I'm wanting to finish this one soon.
  17. Looking forward to this one myself!
  18. Looking forward to this one!! This is my favorite version of the T600. I remember the first T600 I saw. I think that it was in 1985. It was a demonstrator from Kenworth. All the drivers called it an "Ant-eater." This one will be good!
  19. Great project!! My favorite era of trucks!!!
  20. Cool project! I've always wanted to build one of those!!
  21. Wow you work fast!!! Looking great!!
  22. V.C.G has some awesome looking stuff on their website.
  23. Folks with kids may have had somewhat of an advantage, because this car was Professor Z in "Cars 2." That is how I found it.
