Thanks Terry and Mark! Here is the final ride height. I still have some mounts to make, but this is how it will look minus the warped hood. (I hope I can get it straight)
A little more progress today. Engine installed, P/S hoses on, Shocks and Stabilizers on, traction bars on, vent hoses, and a few other odds and ends. Not completely happy with it, but I rarely am.
Thanks Gator!
What I see looks great Sam! I thought that I was the only one that had those kind of days. While applying the first coat of paint to my 6v-71, it fell in the yard. Oops! Fuzzy Detroit! Tomorrow will be a better day. Keep up the good work....Brian
Mike, Sam and I went through this as well. There is another thread on here that Sam started that helped us both. If you are using Photobucket, simply click on the block marked image, then paste on your post. You will not see the photo until it posts, but that fixed our problem. Hope this helps....Brian
A little more done on the engine. Air filters mounted, P/S pump added, Alt. ran off of rear Acc. drive (Yes that's a Mopar Alt.). The highest HP rating for a 6v-71T road application was about 285HP @ 2100rpm. There were however Marine application 6v-71TA (A is for aftercooler) engines that produced 430HP @ 2500rpm. So without the aftercooler but a second turbo added I still believe between 430 and 500 hp @ 2800 rpm could be squeezed out of this one with the addition of a few internal modifications that is common among tractor pullers. Regardless of the HP, I think it still looks kind of cool anyway.
