  1. BNL Resin has some tractor pulling stuff, they may have some of what your looking for.
  2. Almost thought I was looking at a 1:1. Very nice work!!!
  3. That is one sharp looking rig. Definitely a head turner!!! Excellent work!
  4. Really cool builds. I built my share of the 1:1s back in my younger days. Nice work!
  5. Factory cross members removed. Two new cross members made for engine and transmission mounting purposes. Louisville transmission mated to the 6v-71. Off to a decent start. My axles should be here tomorrow and I can start fabricating son\me suspension.
  6. BNL Resin seems to have a large variety of 4x4 stuff including wheels and solid resin tires. I have several items coming for my 71 Ford from them including a set of 48" Irok Swampers. I can let you know how the quality is when the stuff arrives. The tires would have to be painted of course.
  7. It's going to be a tight fit, but with a little bit of butter it is going to work.
  8. I've built a couple in the past year, but had stopped while my boys were small. Thanks for the encouragement Dave! Thanks Jurgen, It's not perfect, I got discouraged a couple of times, but all in all I enjoyed the build. Thanks for the encouragement JT. If it had not been for the encouragement of the folks on this forum, I probably would have never started this build. And thanks to everyone who has commented during this build and after completion!!!
  9. Frame looks Awesome!!!
  10. Very good looking Peterbilt!!!
  11. Now that looks really good!! Excellent Work!!
  12. Very nice Peterbilt!! Excellent Work!
  13. Thanks Terry. I have Dana 60s coming from BNL resins along with a transfer case and some 48" Irok Super Swampers. This Detroit's going to have a long way to drip. I plan to use transmission out of the Louisville with a divorced transfer case set up. I was going to use a granny box, but I thought this would be the more likely fit to the Detroit. I don't have all the parts in hand yet to test it all out, but that is the plan. Putting the engine together now to test my clearances. My concern is this warped up cab!?! Thanks for the offer though....Brian
  14. Starting a new project since the Diamond Reo is finished. I haven't built a pickup in over 12 years, but here goes. Trying to get the warped cab straightened out right now (you can see that the cab is wet). The plan is this: 71 Ford pickup 4x4, not settled on tires yet, but they will be big; I'm leaning toward the 46" Swampers. Power will be from a 6v-71 Detroit courtesy of the Back yard shed. I haven't fully decided whether it will be a turbo or not. Not sure if I can pull off what I have in mind or not, but this is a build that I have been wanting to try.
  15. Now that is one sharp rig!!!! I like the red on the trailer!!...Great Work..Brian
  16. Can't wait to see this one! I like cabovers!!! But as far as the engine, remember: "nothing converts diesel fuel into noise like a Detroit" LOL
  17. Cool trucks!! I like the divorced transfer case setup. Hoping to do one of those myself shortly.
  18. Thanks for all the comments and encouragement guys!
  19. Cool build!! I like really like seeing builds that are different!
  20. Very cool build!!! Great attention to detail.
