  1. I have never liked the snap kits. You guys have proven that I just didn't know how to build one. These are some awesome trucks. Great Work!!!
  2. I like this build. The Detroit is the better choice if your daughter is like my kids, they love anything that makes lots of noise. The more noise, the better! Looking forward to seeing this one finished.
  3. Thanks for all the comments, I hope to have more photos soon. This is actually my first attempt at opening doors. Like most of my building lately, this whole build seems to have been an experiment. The seat actually is only in primer, the same as the hood was primed with, but the color has grown on me. I do need some reference photos of the Frigiking rooftop a/c unit that comes in this kit if anyone could help. Thanks again.....Brian
  4. I am looking for any good reference pictures of Frigiking roof top a/c units like the ones in the AMT family cab kits (Road Boss, Autocar, Diamond Reo, Western Star). I'm guessing that they were not as popular as the Kysor units. I am needing inside and outside photos. Any help would be appreciated.
  5. Very Nice!! Great Work!
  6. My kind of build. Great Work!
  7. This model is incredible. I have seen less care taken in the building of the real thing. Great Work!
  8. Generally there are several plugs in those two areas where water outlets can be placed. The 6v-92 pictured seems to have two sets of hoses. One set may be for a coolant filter, but this gives the general idea of where to run your hoses. The 8v-92 gives a clearer picture. I'm looking forward to seeing this one finished!
  9. This is an 8v-92 but it's a little more clear.
  10. Here is a photo. You can see the water shut off valves where the heater hoses are located.
  11. I really like this one. The paint scheme with spoke drive wheels make this truck for me. The ad is just the finishing touch. Great work!
  12. This is my kind of build. I like this one very much! I like the old workhorses. Great work!!!!
  13. Most "old school" turbos (that I've had experience with)did not have waste gate pressure control. The turbo was designed to only produce a certain amount of boost, and on a Detroit the turbo and blower had to be matched. In the mid seventies, my dad added a turbo to a non-turbo 8v-71 in a Road Commander project, but he had to change the blower when he did this. He told me that it would over boost with the original non-turbo blower once the turbo was added. I though that maybe you had found a late version 6v-92 that used a waste gate control like many modern engines (wasn't being critical by no means) your work is incredible.
  14. I'm liking this build.
  15. Excellent work!!! Your precision in detail amazes me. You have peeked my curiosity. Is that a waste gate control on the turbo? If so, what year models were those used. I considering putting one of these in a Titan myself. Again, Awesome work!!!! Can't wait to see it finished.
  16. All the trucks are great, but I love the crackerboxes. I would like to get hold of one of those cabs.
  17. Excellent Build!!!! Very Careful and Clean Work.
  18. Top notch work!!! I can almost smell the Diesel fumes.
  19. Frontier Resin Design makes a B series. It is on Ebay pretty regularly. It is not there now, but if you keep your eyes open it may be what you are looking for. They post several about once a month or so. I don't know anything about them or their quality, but they sell Bighorn short and long hood cabs, and a GMC Cannon Ball cab among others. Hope this helps.
  20. This was a rebuild that I finished over 15 years ago. It was meant to depict a long since retired work site truck. It was a major glue bomb when I got it. It was mainly an experiment and really my first attempt at weathering. It's not perfect, but interesting.
  21. Awesome build. I'm partial to old Mopars and old "Grocery Getters" as well.
