  1. Almost a 50/50 split in the votes. That means your pic is fooling a lot of people. I might be fooled too but I say real.
  2. Very, very nice work Harry. You have a LOT more patience than I do. I bought one Pocher kit and when I realised the drive chain had to be assembled one link at a time I sold it.
  3. Brass frame for 1/12 scale 57 Chevy Aluminum interior for 1/8 scale dirt tracker. Thes pics are just a sample of the large scale work being done at LSM. The members of LSM are a great bunch of guys that are always willing to help. http://www.largescalemodeler.com/forum/index.php .
  4. If it's not gonna be a cop car I'd lose the light but keep the siren just for giggles.
  5. Please refer to us inbred spit-talking slack jawed rednecks in the future as "Appalachian Americans" .
  6. I was looking at some of my old posts and realised I never put finished pics in this one so here they are. Complete build here http://public.fotki.com/old-hermits-garage...emodels/anglia/
  7. Sheet rock mud is cheaper than bondo ... ... and automotive trunk paint comes out of the can in an asphalt texture with black, grey and white specks already mixed in ... Then just fog on some cheap flat black to get the desired darkness. You can roll a pair of tires or drag slicks through a puddle of flat black paint to get the burnt rubber effect at the line too. .
  8. Hey Harry, I found the perfect example of "Political Correctness". "Remus Reid, horse thief , sent to Montana Territorial Prison 1885, escaped 1887, robbed the Montana Flyer six times. Caught by Pinkerton detectives, convicted and hanged in 1889." "Remus Reid was a famous cowboy in the Montana Territory. His business empire grew to include acquisition of valuable equestrian assets and intimate dealings with the Montana railroad. Beginning in 1885, he devoted two years of his life to government service, finally taking leave to resume his dealings with the railroad. In 1887, he was a key player in a vital investigation run by the renowned Pinkerton Detective Agency. In 1889, Remus passed away during an important civic function held in his honor when the platform upon which he was standing collapsed."
  9. Just like I said , same thing only different !!!
  10. Constructive criticism IS criticism. If you voice your opinion and offend someone you are subject to the consequences. Political correctness is the absence of criticism. As my granny used to say "Same thing only different".
  11. "Political correctness is a doctrine, fostered by a delusional, illogical minority, and rabidly promoted by an unscrupulous mainstream media, which holds forth the proposition that it is entirely possible to pick up a turd by the clean end."
  12. Creative photography to hide all the screw ups works pretty good too. heh heh heh.
  13. Thanks for all the compliments guys. Hope ya heal up soon nitro. OK Harry, heres some details. It started out as a Deuce kit but then took on a life of it's own. I modified the front suspension by cutting the spring off the axle and mounting it 1.25 inches back onto the radius rods. This lowered the axle and moved it forward of the radiator. I had to cut off the forward frame horns and then the front shocks were repositioned to a realistic working position. I Z'd the rear of the frame half an inch to slam it on the ground and had to shorten the rear of the frame to fit under the body. I modified a radiator from a Lindy T kit to work on the Deuce. The dash, intake and headers are custom resin pieces I got from friends on largescalemodeler.com. The windshield is resin from e bay and is bolted on with 00-90 bolts from the underside of the cowl. I made one valve cover on my mill and cast a pair in resin. The Desoto decals are from Rick Gondeck. I took the kit air cleaners and cut them down in my lathe just enough to paint white and put household screen wire for webbing. I painted the body gloss black then applied the pinstripe decals. The next day I sprayed it with Krylon Matte finish to dull it out. I cut the kit seat on the bottom and top to shorten it enough to fit and the upholstery is three indian blankets from Deuce kits glued over shortened Deuce interior panels. A few more odds & ends from the junk box and it's done. If ya got any more questions please ask. I'll answer as best as I can. .
