  1. There is a top shelf resin caster and RP tech doing things in large scale that isn't well known. I have used quite a few of his products and they are among the best I've ever worked with. You can see his work here ... http://members.fotki...izzler67/about/ and contact him here ... http://largescalemod...forum/index.php
  2. Thanks for the compliment. I really love building in 1/8 scale. The 409 came from Bob Hayes and I mastered the inline six.
  3. You're right Andy. I do need to build more shelves. This is 4 feet x 24 feet and the bottom three rows are all 1/8 scale ...
  4. The R/M 1/8 scale Big Deuce ... the variations are endless !!!!!
  5. I built one a few years ago but I didn't follow the directions !!!!!
  6. Sorry for taking so long to give you kudos for this build Dave but I've run out of creative compliments. heh heh heh. I especially like the torque converter.
  7. She's done ... Under Glass pics here ... http://www.modelcars...showtopic=40145
  8. She's done. I screwed up the decals but thats nothing unusual for me. Nothing fancy, just my concept of something different. More pics here ... http://public.fotki....cma-challenger/
  9. Some aerodynamic spoilers ... and a coat of primer ... Still needs a little massaging before paint ... more to come. .
  10. Next you build a generic NASCAR chassis. I'm not going to do a bunch of detailing on this, just a quickie oob ... the wheel base of the chassis is shorter than the wheel openings on the body the front was an easy fix, just trim a little off the back side but the rear had to be moved forward quite a bit so it needed a filler patch ... now for bondo and sanding ... more later. .
  11. What if you wanted to drive an 09 Challenger on a NASCAR road course ? Well, you start with two kits ... then you narrow & shorten the NASCAR chassis to fit the Challenger body ... the body will needs some mods too ... remove this ... and this ... then you mock it up to see if everything fits ... so far so good ... more later . .
  12. Maybe old time big christmas tree lights ????? or paint some regular soft white bulbs ?????
  13. If you're talking about me, I've built two 1/8 scale dio's and it ain't gonna happen again. Besides, anything I built would pale in comparison to this. You sir are the master.
  14. OK, OK, ya got me on that one Virg. But this place is begging for some pigeon's in the rafters.
  15. IS THAT A PIGEON ?????
  16. It's a car !!!!!! It was built to be driven !!!!! If it gets destroyed all that does is make the rest more valuable !!!!! Same thing goes for model kits. They were meant to be built. I'll rip the plastic off a 40 year old kit and build it in a heartbeat. If I could afford a genuine Cobra it would get the tires smoked in a heartbeat too.
  17. Owwww !!!!!! The best, fastest truck I ever drove was an '88 Pete 379 with a 400 big cam cum-a-part &13 speed . I got a ticket for 88 in a 65 coming home from sugar town after I dropped 6 gears.
  18. I don't want to burst your bubble but ... (you knew it was coming) ... by the looks of it, rubber will fill the void between the front & rear spokes and you'll never get the master out without destroying the mold and the master. I'm not saying it can't be done but it's next to impossible to resin cast a one piece wire wheel. I've tried.
  19. When Lindberg came out with the Tall T in 1/8 scale all I heard was whining & complaining about it. How it wasn't right and it was an undesirable kit. But after it hit the shelves there were some VERY nice builds of it. Hopefully the same will happen with the Hudson. I'm just happy that a model company is putting out something that hasn't existed before. And BTW, I've already started saving $$$$ for several new Moebius Lonestars.
  20. I don't know. It's on hold right now because I screwed up the windows trying to tint them.
  21. I must have bad eyes because the only obvious, glaring differences I see are in the windows. That might be from different year/model changes and it's not enough to keep me from buying several of the kits. ......................
  22. Nice dio so far Crank. I made burnt rubber tracks on a dragstrip dio by mounting two wheels & tires on a metal axle, running it through a flat black wash and rolling it over the pavement.
  23. If you like old trucks, or even new trucks, and have several hours to several days to look at truck pics, you will like this site. http://www.hankstruckpictures.com/trucks.htm
