  6. Kenny, can you tuck the turbos in? Edit: Kenny, I was just on page two of your build, and if you left everything as is, your best bet is to rework to the turbo tubing instead of bowing out the covers. Looks like you have alot of room to pull the turbos closer to the frame.

  12. I'm glad I got this part out of the way. Left them a little small and I'll tune them up when I get the chassis rolling. All the panel lines seem to be within .015 on each side except the front wheel openings. I'm not sure if it's typical to have them out by so much, but my calipers say .050 before I modified them.Sorry for the uninteresting thing to look at, at this point. I ran out of material for the chassis because I changed plans half way through lol. Hopefully I have something for you guys to look at this weekend. But I have a rc drag race test and tune Sunday, so I'm not promising anything lol Thank you so much for following and your comments.

  15. Nothing short of amazing, Codi. The Charger Im working on will have intercoolers straddling the radiator, where as the x275 Camaro will have the cooler in the interior. Very, very nice. Im surprised I missed this !
  16. Codi, if you are referring to the intercooler question I asked, then yes I did. But since then, I've been running around trying to do the job of an octopus with only two arms lol. I will check it out later and thank.you.

  18. Because a blower manifold is a lot thicker, just like a regular intake manifold. I should have compare a oil pan rather than an airframe. But a thicker airframe requires less hardware than a thinner frame. Besides, a sheet metal intake is never actually sheet metal. It's considered plate at those thicknesses, and I have never seen a top plenum as thick as a lower plenum, unless they are welded together. Codi"s intake looks like a sheet metal intake to me. I don't see why someone would make that out of a solid stock when a welded unit would work, considering the contours are not too complex to make out of sheet. I would have that welded up before it could be programmed. But please, feel free to enlighten me. I'm always the student. Oh. I see what the issue is. 10thumbs asked why so many bolts, which is what my response was to, not you. I didn't even notice your pic of Mogan's motor you posted until now, and thought you were referring to Codi's intake this whole time. You are right, Mogan's system is too complicated to be made out of sheet. And I am right, that Codi's intake represents a sheet metal intake.

  21. 1930 Ford, the oil pan is not the issue as much as the transmission pan. Right now, using the kits 4 speed manual, it's not as tall as the automatic transmission pan I was planning on using. I might have to change my plans on that also, as soon as I come closer to fitting one I'll deal with it. Not sure what direction to go in. The kits oil pan does look like a dry sump unit. It has no well it in, just flat from front to rear, but I don't see any dry sump pieces in the kit ( but not that I really looked at the directions or the kit for them) No provisions to hook up the oil lines. Yes Michael, it's the hemi that came with the kit. I'm just giving the face of the block a more realistic look, even though most of it would be covered lol. I figured if I screw it up, no one will notice anyway Thank you Jim, I am enjoying it but the pace is a bit slower than e expected. As you know, if you wanted to rework metal fenders like this, you cut it to shape, give it a roll, and tack it as you go along. Can't really do that here. I'm using cement that takes awhile to set up, so I'm "tacking" and clamping, etc lol I really hate using superglue but maybe I.should have used that here.
  22. One fender roughed out. The wheelbase is now closer to specs also. I have to admit, being a metal fabricator I thought working with plastics would be a walk in park. It is not. Plastic fabrications has its own techniques that I still need to learn. My hats off to you ladies and gentlemen for making it look so easy.

  24. This rocks. And Im envious of anyone working in 1:25 scale. I just dont have the patience or hands to work with such small pieces lol. And this concept is cool all in its own
