  1. I KNEW IT !!!!!!!!
  2. Google is all wise and all knowing. Problem with too many web pages is, they don't show the date an article was written.
  3. Apparently the universe is conspiring against my desire to keep my mind from being blown repeatedly by adding to the insanity around here. This is going to be magnificent Dave. I can't wait for more already. This is your fault Tim. I don't know how and I don't know why. But I know you're involved. Welcome back Dave
  4. If you want funny Tim, you have to give me something to work with. The bead-locks are sweet my friend. I guess tedious puts it mildly, but sooooo worth the effort and we thank you.
  5. I just finished playing Warcraft. NOW playtime's over. I sure coulda' used your help with that thing. The moving instructions specifically said, "May be moved by two guys with bad backs and a woman." I was one back short.
  6. Hopefully, this is the last sidetrack before I get back on the Nomad. I'm Jonesing hard. Funny how karma kicks in when you do the right thing. So, after the adventures in babysitting, I stopped at a local thrift store I like a lot. There was the most incredible buy I've made in my life. A china cabinet for only $60.00. It was too big to fit in my Journey, so I called on the mother of the kid I watched because she has a truck. She came to the store after work and between the 2 of us, we managed to wrestle it into the hobby room. That's karma payback. The intention was to put it in a display room with my built models and memorabilia. Too big. At least it looks good next to my kitchen cabinets. My finished models have been packed away for 3 months. Now they can breathe. The last thing I need to do is install a light under the build desk. If anyone wants info on one of the builds, pm me and I'll hook you up. They are all builds that have been on the forum. Edit: Pics were messed. I made fix.
  7. One extreme to another. I knew there was something I liked about you Bro. Clear the staging lanes. Here comes Southside Johnny again !!!!!!!
  8. There is one fine looking front row seat. The choice for the back is the perfect contrast. Speaking of contrast, my choice for throw pillows would be lavender with little frilly daisy embroidery. Green fringe tassels at the top and front. Leave clearance for the seat belts. Why do I always have to do all of the original thinking on this build. Huh? Wassup wid dat?
  9. PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE, PLEASE do a "wheels up" pic. I recommend a crane piloted by a highly trained Minion. There's sure no visibility problems, are there? The pilot has a choice of front or side view. Perfect placement of the roll cage John. Awesome.
  10. I'm hoping it's something as simple as a pulled muscle from all of that casting you were doing
  11. Okay Derrick. Two things. TEETH !!!! Love them. Then there's the lettering / graphics. They look to me, to have been done by the guy who had the concept for the car, but his mechanical skills were better then his hand painting skills. They NEEDED to be done by hand. Lastly, I use PhotoBucket and guess what? There's an app for that. It's a pain because of the ads, but every pic I take goes to PhotoBucket, then gets posted here. If you have any questions, pm me.
  12. Wow Chuck. I have a hard time getting parts prepped in a weekend, not to mention paint and assemblage. Le engine d' vroom vroom es magnifique' !! Since we can't swear here, I'll just use French.
  13. Yeah Buddy !!! Looks right. However, the thought of you chopping it at the tape line scares the bejeebers outa' me. You'll have to redo the beltline trim. Unless it has to be done there for frame considerations. If you only want to knock down overall height, you might want to consider cutting just above the middle hinge. Unless that was your plan all along and the tape is only there to hold the body together. In which case, I'll just go lay down by my dish. STAY ! Ahh Ahh Ahh. STAY !
  14. Brad, as a lifelong sufferer of herniated discs, hopefully it's a similar situation as opposed to something more severe. It can happen from an injury or deteriorate over time. The VA rated me 20% left and 60% right leg partial paralysis. Basically that means it comes and goes. I hope you have a good diagnosis *cough*secondopinion*cough* that gives you treatment options. Hang in there my friend. P.S. Don't tell anybody here that I can only sit down for an hour at a time. They won't believe you because of how fast I build. Ya' know?
  15. There's the good stuff I tune in for. Outstanding as always Chris. I'm loving that cage. Yes, I'm getting back on the Nomad soon
  16. Even though they are not members, my daughter and grandkids in Florida follow my progress. They don't build or comment, so no need for membership. Hate to see it become a requirement.
  17. Change needs to come soon. I'm watching the 13 year old son of a friend this weekend. When I showed him my collection, he said, "Cool models. Can I plug in my X Box?" I took Drafting in 7th grade. We were taught model skills for presentations and mass studies. I was already building before the class.
  18. People don't walk into hobby shops by accident. Seek professional help at your local Styrene Addiction Center.
  19. I'm hopeful for an A/FX, but I wouldn't mind another F/C or an AA/FA. I know we've had recent F/C's, thank you Polar Lights, but I'm greedy. Since I have wheelstanders on the brain, a NEW tool like a Stagecoach or Tank or even something off the wall, like a newer Challenger as the Hemi Under Glass or some other generic / fictional theme. I would also like it to have a detailed V-Drive, not an oblong blob with a couple of shaft holes. And none of this silliness about expensive licensing. Do it right, like the Batmobile, and they'll get every penny back and then some.
  20. Awesomesauce!!!!!!!! You always deliver what we expect, then a little bit more. Once you get rolling, there's no slowing you down, is there? Who's bright idea was this anyway, huh?
  21. Hi Chris and thanks for asking. Last couple of weeks have been hectic plus a bout with "The Blues". This weekend I'm watching the son of some friends who couldn't get a sitter. He's one of those new generation kids. "Wow, cool models. Can I hook up my X Box?" Hopefully I'll get something done when he heads home after the weekend.
  22. Okay Bro. New favorite thing. The Big John decal. Amazing.
  23. Being the oddball here, the thing I love the most about this update is the F Troop decal.
  24. Good start AJ. We loves us some Wheelie cars here.
