  1. Where is the "80" sticker? Hehehe
  2. By the way, I had a coupé with the regular body (the same one as the Cosworth above, not the XR4 with the dual pillars) in 1:1 when I was 20, but that one had just the 2 litre OHC that I believe you got in the early Pintos, so not quick....but a fun and good looking car IMO, not very good build quality though.
  3. I will be using the turbocharged BDA four from the Monogram GTP Mustang.
  4. Got one of Tamiyas old Sierras, which I've been looking for very long.... Black with deep dish BBS RS is hard to go wrong with, right?
  5. Can't wait to see you start on this again....coolest project I've seen in ages.
  6. I would consider sawing it off and replacing it with an IMC carson top.
  7. The 41-46 Chevy might be slightly above it, but other than that I agree.
  8. I decided to pick up (no pun intended) an old stalled build and finish it. Not quite up to my standards nowadays, but it is at least finished. So what's done to it? Roll pans front and rear, I think the front one was in the kit? While the rear one is a modified one from the street rod version of the 50 Chevy pickup. Widened 58 Impala tube grille in the stock grille frame. Shaved, lowered, 62 Pontiac button tucked bench seat in a resin interior tub (to get rid of the molded in buckets), 65 Pontiac 2+2 (I think) custom steering wheel, chrome reverse rims from the old Revell 57 Chevy up front, AMT Boondocker Blazer in rear. Widened rear fenders to fit them. Paint RAL1023 safety yellow.
  9. Thanks!
  10. Not very detailed, but fun to build!
  11. WOW! I am impressed to say the least...very nice work, neighbour!
  12. I'm as impressed as always when people scratch build models that does not exist in scale, nice!
  13. Yeah, it looks quite proper with the grey/black combo. Sprayed some flat black on the top too, looks more like fabric and less like plastic now. The seats are finished too and I thought red seatbelts would be a nice touch, matching the paint and won't disappear against neither grey or black. Since there was no belts molded into the Scirocco seats though, I had to take a pair from the parts box. Conway Twitty or Megadeth? Whatever you prefer, speakers is a good thing to have. It's getting close!
  14. I think it was reissued by Aoshima not long ago so there should be a possibility to get one....
  15. It's getting a really beautiful flow in the lines for sure!
  16. I loved this one from the start, I like when fantasy and imagination is allowed to flow free more than I like rivet counting.
  17. I'm building this to match the Scirocco I built last year, so it's getting a grey/black interior like that one. So I sprayed the floor mats grey, and then I will spray a black coat on the carpeting. It's molded in brown, not very nice. Also sprayed the grey on the seats. The rear seat is stock but the front seats are from a Scirocco, looks a little bit better than stock. Shaky hands and crappy mobile camera but well.....the steering wheel is of course out of a 911 too. Lowered as much as possible on those tires...
  18. I like this red metallic...
  19. I think so. :/
  20. Imai's old convertible may not be the best kit in the world, but I think that it might be possible to do something out of that one too. The side trim removed and bumper holes filled to give it a smooth, rounded look. Porsche Fuchs wheels, detailed with red instead of black, since this one is getting a red paintjob. Disc brakes all around. I have never liked the Super Beetle dash with its square protruding instrument cluster, so I made a custom dash with a narrowed Porsche 911 top and built up the shape against the windshield with the rear part of the stock dash, styrene strips, CA glue and baking soda.
  21. Yes, of course. Though this whole project should bee seen more as art than any effort to duplicate something that has ever existed or should even possibly exist....I am not sure that I even know where this is leading myself to be honest, but well....
  22. Yes, it is a model A engine from the 1931 tudor, and I am using the OHV conversion so the valve covers do belong there.... We have a couple of 1:1 Model A Fords so I know very well what the stock engine does look like..... But the answer this time is not really that easy....
  23. Whatever it is, it will get a trusty powerplant...
  24. A little mockup, with painted body and dechromed wheels... since they are cast in black, I will leave them like that. A coat of paint and they will look more out of scale, often a problem with wire wheels.
