  1. Wow! Would be nice to have a body like this, would build up as a nice lowrider....
  2. Wow, great work as usual Niko, I can honestly say that this is the best build of the old Monogram 55 chevy I've seen this far! I also had my doubts about this colour combo on a race car, but it actually works very well.
  3. 1932 Chrysler chassis, though with VW front suspension. 1932 Chrysler cowl. 2005 Chrysler 300 C body cut down to fit on the chassis. Detroit Diesel V8. Ford Model T front wheels, 1932 Chrysler in the rear, dually mounted. Totally unrealistic but very fun, though probably the last time I build something like this.
  4. Seems like an interesting kit. Have you tried CA glue?
  5. LOL. Elegant at a first glance, laughing my head off at the second....
  6. Fun little car, and fun to build! Some flaws, but I am satisfied anyway, one of my better builds. There was potential in the old AMT kit, appearantly!
  7. Did some more detailing under the hood. There was no brake master cylinder so I took one out of the parts bin. Also, I added battery cables and a vaccuum hose to the brake booster. Painted the sound insulation under the hood, something I've never thought of before. A car like this can't have a dorky little peashooter for the exhaust, but it turned out that one of the pipes from a '05 300C could be adapted to fit. Not bad!
  8. You make it look so easy.... I have to say that Renshape sounds like an interesting material!
  9. If it makes you feel better, I can honestly say that it is not a pure american phenomena, I see the same tendencies in Sweden.....
  10. Tamiya kits from this era are maybe the best models ever made, quality-wise....
  11. Nicely done!
  12. Nice replica! I guess that the mirror would be there on the model if you had one similar enough, and the paint on the model looks a little more pink, but maybe that's just the pictures? Nothing bad to say about the work though!
  13. Feels like a stock 55 Nomad is seldom built up, and even rarer to see one done this nice. Lovely!
  14. The Ferguson tractor from Heller.....I'm so excited about it right now so I would regret not choosing it.
  15. Yes I was thinking about the same thing actually. Is there anywhere to buy model related stuff in Tornio by the way? Since there really is a shortage of everything in Kalix and I am so tired of having to order even a small can of paint over the web....
  16. Most of the time I hate doing engine bays, I usually glue the hood shut.....and just throw in the engine there straight from the box. However, it was fun for some reason on this model! I have detailed a bit more, but I'll show that tomorrow. A very light white wash toned down the chrome on the headlights. Hardly noticeable but still more realistic. I don't want any fogged headlamps like on a rusty Ford Mondeo, after all....and yes, I'm going to fix the areas that is accidentaly painted black. Painted the hood too. Don't know why I didn't do it earlier to be honest....
  17. Hmm, looks like something a busty swedish chick that loves trucks, beer and...girls.....would drive around in.....well well, excited to see the results. Tornio, huh? Then we're almost neighbours!
  18. Nice to see one built, and nice background too!
  19. Nice models, my favourite is the Edsel.
  20. Now that's a tough looking bike! Shine can never replace attitude.
  21. Making a real sportscar out of the hairdressers Porsche, absolutely the right way to go!
  22. Really nice job of getting metallic finishes on the metal parts.
  23. Haha, I see what you mean there!
  24. Nothing a little file, sandpaper and CA glue won't fix... Detail painted the grille.....black VW badge like on the Rabbit GTi, just like I want it. Blacked out taillamps and matte black panel behind them, bit of a 90s tuner look, maybe a quite big oval tailpipe would look best? The rims does fit like a glove! Moved the bumpers more flush to the body and shortened the ends for a slimmer look.
