  1. I'm not a huge fan of building chassis so I am quite thankful that this was easy and straightforward. Choosing the interior color was easy, oxblood of course. The construction of the kit is a bit odd, first you glue the firewall to the fenders, then the dash onto the firewall, then the body on the firewall/fender assembly... The firewall is BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH compared to the old MPC Chrysler, here's how it looks, and since there is no way to make the hood opening easy, I will not give the engine bay too much attention, probably just some wiring on the engine. I didn't dare to polish it, so I just used some automobile wax to get it even more shiny.
  2. Got myself this one some months ago.
  3. No doubt this is my best paintjob ever, I am soooo satisfied! And this is just out of the rattlecans, no polishing and not even clearcoat on the cream..... But I think I will leave it this way, I really don't want to mess it up.
  4. Lookin' great this far.
  5. I would probably have used some narrower front tyres if it was my build, but there is nothing to blame on the work here... Back to the 70s.
  6. Gorgeous, I almost can't believe that a beauty like this could be built in 7,5 hours!
  7. Very british look on this one, as many posters have already stated.
  8. Only the background reveals that this is not an 1:1 car, I'm simply speechless, and who would guess that this could be an old Jo-Han kit?
  9. Interesting and different with a carbed zetec!
  10. A real granny car until you lift the hood, nice!
  11. Nice job in all its 70s brownness...
  12. Nice, I don't see a built up ecto 1 every day.
  13. Wow, amazing, real eyecandy, and the color combo is spot on!
  14. Nice variation with a bone stock no frills vehicle once in a while. After all, this is how most of them looked back in the days.

Very clean build and I love the color.
  16. Thinking cream with burgundy fenders probably.
  17. Good first impression, great fit and finish but maybe not as great detailwork on everything. The only thing I don't like is the split body.
  18. Since I got the will to build back, I keep building while it is still fun.... So time for a prewar classic. Fit and finish seems nice but I do not like that the body is split in two pieces, will have to sand an ugly seam then... Yummy, straight eight!
  19. Even though you made it slower due to the lack of go fast-stickers, I like it better now.
  20. I let the pictures speak for themselves I think, just ask if you wonder anything.
  21. Thanks for all the comments, and peter 31a, yes, that was the look I was going for.
  22. It got a white/copper interior, I also painted the chain steering wheel copper later since this light gold was too much of a mismatch. Tailpipes, maybe it doesn't suit the style of the build very well but they do match the blocky body IMO. Mostly BMF and some detailing left now.
  23. Me neither, but I think that the 66-67 model looks better this way, they are too high in stock form which takes away a bit of the flow in the lines with the swooping back end.
  24. The work this far, lowered, Cragar SS with whitewalls, white undercarriage, metallic green paint. Going for a borderline 60s custom / early lowrider look.
  25. Maybe not what you expected to see, so I let the pictures speak for themselves.
