Carpet made of band aids, looks good from some meters away. Ford Courier bench seat (the black piping will get another coat, of course). Door panels cut from some unknown tub in the parts bin (MPC Switchers maybe), nice diamond pattern, will of course be repainted....

The XK120 is my dream car after the 300SL gullwing, and your build seems spotless, lovely!

Decided on wheels and tires now. Wheels from the Revell "Mothers cherry pie" model A panel. Also the front tires, they look right at home up front on a bug... In the rear, they were a bit too large and besides I don't think this one needs slicks... Replaced them with a pair of Goodyear blue streaks.

Shame about the ghost lines, but nice work in getting rid of them. Always sad to need to sand fresh paint though.

Heller Citroën B14 Normande from the start. I put it on a modified Monogram deuce chassis, unknown rear axle from the parts bin, tube axle with quarter elliptics in front. Blown SBC from MPC 32 Chevy, exhausts made from the last part of the AMT 41 woodie exhausts. VW Beetle seats, Jo-Han 1962 Dart (I think) hubcaps and tires, shortened 51 Chevy dash, 57 Corvette steering wheel, chopped windshield, surfboard from AMT 41 woodie. Just some generic rattlecan gold for the paint. Probably forgot something?

Headlights and windshield in place. Normally, I prefer a quite low placement of the headlights on hot rods, but in this case, I think that this high position was needed to get the right looks. I almost regret chopping the windshield now, I think that stock height might have been better. And as you can see, the chrome on this model is really bad, flaking as soon as I touch it. The Corvette steering wheel fits very well but I see now that it would benefit from another coat of paint.

It feels like a surfboard belonged on the bed, right? I have chosen the steering wheel too. 1957 Corvette. In need of a repaint though, metallic blue fits nowhere on this car. Painted the dash. Still needs some detailing. The camera really brings up all the flaws, it doesn't look this bad IRL.
