  1. The pictures almost fooled me that I was in the 1:1 section, nice job!
  2. Good job on the weathering and the water bottle is a nice touch.
  3. Are you going to convert it to 4 wheel drive?
  4. Very cool build! I would just be a little nervous that monster of an engine will heat up the luggage area too much for having ice cream in there.
  5. I can imagine it in candy purple even if the Gulf colors of course suits everything. Amazing build anyway, straight from the sci-fi movies.
  6. Molded in headlamps. Sink marks in chrome. Multi piece bodies a la old Revell kits. Bad fitting glass. Obvious faults that shouldn't be on the real car. PRE-CHOPPED BODIES! If I want a chopped car I'll do it myself!
  7. Some automotive touch up paint....i think that it may be Chrysler "Deep coral red" (Paint code PVJ).
  8. Old AMT Scirocco used as a basis Engine Interior...still lacking the backseat though. Nice and shiny paint! Found those nice rims in the parts bin.....the tyres however are from a Tamiya Honda CRX to get a low enough profile.
  9. Facel Vega HK500.....just gorgeous. Mercedes 300SL.....as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside! Volvo PV444, no doubt they had american cars as an inspiration.
  10. Seeing how irresponsible some superbike riders are driving, when there is absolutely no protection except a couple of inches of styrofoam and fiberglass wrapped around your head, I am not completely sure that an unsafe vehicle makes everyone take responsibilities.
  11. Not perfect, but at least I like the style!
  12. Wood paneling and a downscaled copy of a 70s velvet wallpaper..... Also I gave it a name now.... "Astral Dream". I guess a custom van needs some kind of psychedelic-new-age-name.
  13. Added a bar cabinet, and a little bench seat (modified VW Backseat).
  14. This boombox will serve as a barrier between the rear compartment and the drivers compartment, also I will mount a small foldable table on it, with cupholders. The seats will be mounted like this, just a little bit higher (would probably swivel in 1:1 scale). Privacy is of course important.... The rod is for a drapery that will be installed later.
  15. Wood floor and velvet on the wheel wells too.
  16. A bed is a no-brainer in a shagwagon like this, so I took one from an Italeri Scania and cut it down, and covered it in black velvet. If it's rockin', don't come knockin'! My first idea was to put a complete Camaro RS grille on it, but it was too tiny to look good on the big van, so I just took the headlamp doors, and I quite like it. Planning to use Mustang taillights, rotated 90 degrees, to get a similar look in the back.
  17. Brought this old stalled build back on the bench. 72 GMC, shaved from most of the chrome, custom tube grille, 62 Pontiac button-tucked bench seat, front wheels from old Revell 57 chevy with tyres from MPC 67 Charger, rear wheels from AMT Boondocker Blazer with tyres from MPC 79 Nova.
  18. We have a van group build on a swedish forum, and I'm starting with this. Started with cutting out for some skylights, the fun part of a van build is the interior, and what is it worth if you can't see it?
  19. If I had seen only the pics, not knowing it was a model, I would have thought that it was a real one, nice!
  20. Hehe, I've only driven some stock model A:s when it comes to prewar cars, that is an experience and I guess that this one is very much of a tank compared to that one.....my grandfathers 1929 Packard is probably finished soon so by then maybe I get the opportunity to test drive something similar, lol.
  21. My best build ever, I am very satisfied indeed!
  22. Chrome hood louvers seems to have been an option, so I added them to make it more personal, maybe it doesn't do so much for the looks on a cream car, since chrome is more visible against dark colors, but....
  23. A black wash on the grille makes a huge difference. The tyres are one part I do not like, 2 piece hard tyres. Painting whitewalls was not fun either but I think they turned out OK. Front seat Thunderstorm and no electricity during the whole day yesterday so I was quite effective at building. Only repainting the spare tyre covers and BMF that's left now.
  24. IIRC it is the same kit in a different box.
