That is a beautiful motorhome/toter. The color combination works very well with the size and shape. Only thing missing is an enclosed trailer with some form of race car inside. I have a couple of this style build floating around in my head, just need to get to the bench (if I can find it) and get busy cutting some styrene.

RatFink and BigDaddy go to Indy
TarheelRick replied to BIGTRUCK's topic in Other Racing: Road Racing, Salt Flat Racers
Big Daddy would be proud, very nice and amusing build. -
That is one mighty fine-looking Sedan. As the others have stated that paint is not only smooth but also enhances the lines of the body. Very excellent build.

Won these on an on-line auction, picked them up today. All the kits are sealed except for the '56 Chevrolet and it is a complete kit.

Glad you are back on this one. Those are some serious looking bull bars.

What did you see on the road today?
TarheelRick replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Not really on the road, but saw this row of turtles on a floating log when I went fishing last week. -
Just noticed the cross hanging on the fence and what appears to be another on the ground. That makes me presume this is not the first fatality at that particular site. The world is in too much of a hurry. This morning I was going into town cruising along the interstate a bit above the posted (77 in a 70). I was passing cars, looked in my rearview and saw the top of another car. First chance I had I moved over and allowed it to pass. No sooner had it got past me when another car sped past me, whipped into the right lane passed the first one, then back into the left lane and took off down the interstate.

Moebius F 250 w/camper.
TarheelRick replied to happy grumpy's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
Some very fine model building. That truck is beautiful, especially like the color. BTW, what is the color? Your work on that camper is exceptional, really looks the part. -
I have a feeling that $200K price tag may have got their attention.

That is one beautiful Avanti, the silver paint really works well with that sexy body. The only issue I have, and it does not reflect on this build, is the bumpers appear to be too wide and stick out past the body a bit too much. They are especially noticeable on your front and rear close-up shots. That interior work is excellent.

Especially love the Vicky body-style of all the different versions of the '30-'34 era Fords. For some reason the rear "bustle" turns me on. Your build just looks so right, everything just fits the overall concept so well. One fine build.

Beautiful modified. Although the coupes were my favorites, the Pinto/Vega era was also quite fun to watch. However all good things must come to an end and now there is the cookie-cutter modified. Sorry about the digression. Your build brings back some fond memories from Bowman-Gray Stadium and Martinsville, from days gone by.

Nothing wrong with this build, I would drive it. Very nice color combo and clean engine compartment.

Ollie's strike again
TarheelRick replied to GLMFAA1's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just heard a rumor there is going to be an Ollie's opening in a former grocery store near me. There is one around 25 miles away, but this one will be only 8 miles away and is in the town where I do most of my shopping. Plus it is in the same strip mall as Harbor Freight, O'Reilleys, and my bank (oops). -
Very well built Galaxie, that color really sets off those beautiful body lines.

Nother dirt tracker
TarheelRick replied to Vettegasser's topic in WIP: Other Racing: Road Racing, Land Speed Racers
Looks right to me, love those short track racers. Everything about this type build is open to the imagination of the builder. -
Interesting build. There is a lot of money on the hood of that Gremlin.

Very nice looking Nova. Very well represents the low-buck racer entry that was not factory sponsored. Really like those wheels and tires.

Fine looking late model. Loved that era of short track racing.
