  1. Love these OTB customs. Remember that version of the 57 T-Bird really well, would love to find one. I have the '61 Ford Galaxie on the bench and have used the complete custom front and rear pieces. That thing is really long. https://imgur.com/ptUtELA
  2. A real workhorse. That six-pack has plenty of pulling power, and the overall basic truck look just makes it all the better. Really like this build.
  3. Mine arrived in western North Carolina on Thursday. Pretty good issue.
  4. Very nice looking gasser. All the Tri-Fives make mean gassers. Really like that color, looks almost like a nail polish shade. What is it?
  5. If we are getting tight on server disk space, would putting a limit on the number of photos a person posts help alleviate that problem. I have made this suggestion in the past and was hammered pretty good by the collective body. Almost any build can be adequately presented in 5-6 photos. There is no real need for a dozen or more different angles of the completed build. Moving a camera 5-10 degrees to the right or left does not show any more detail than the original shot. Just my $1.02 worth (inflation).
  6. Just recently got the responsibility as Power of Attorney for my nursing home bound aging aunt. She is wanting to have an auction of all her personal stuff and then rent her house. I went down to the house Saturday to have a look around to see what all would be for sale. I do not have the security code for her alarm system. I entered the house anyway, the alarm successively got louder. I went back outside and called the number on the door, they referred me to another number, which referred me back to the original number. Now as all this is going on the alarm is still activated. Second time I got a "tech" on the line. I explained to him who I was and he told me how to disarm the system. I disarmed it, looked around (it is going to be an intense auction, collections of all forms of figurines), replugged the alarm back in and left the house. The alarm was still sounding when I left. It is my guess from the time I initially set the alarm off until I pulled out of the drive was around 20-30 minutes. At no time did I see any law enforcement. But what irked me the most was the cavalier way in which the "tech" told me, a complete stranger on the telephone with no security codes, how to disarm the system. Monday I went to their local office and cancelled the alarm system. Their answer, "Sorry about your problem."
  7. May have been a PITA, but you seem to have conquered it pretty well.
  8. Those taillights would look neat molded into the hind quarters of a 50-56 Chevy, or even a 50-56 Ford.
  9. 9500 1111 4986 5071 4419 42 Your tracking number for the windshield. Just checked it and it is "in transit from one facility to another". Supposed to be there today, but best I can tell it is still at the Greensboro, NC distribution facility.
  10. A set similar to these can be bought at Harbor Freight for a fairly reasonable price. I've had my set for several years and they work well for me.
  11. Going to be one cool Ute, and that Coyote should make it move right along.
  12. Beautiful combination. I really like the utilitarian look of the wedge. Overall nice couple of builds.
  13. I use the method I used to use when I was a welder in the USAF. Measure with a micrometer, mark with soapstone, and cut with an acetylene torch. Actually, I am gaining a bit of insight on some of the issues I have with a straight cut, never thought of closing up the slots on my aluminum miter box. Just recently picked up a mini table saw from Harbor Freight, haven't had an opportunity to test it yet; will let you know how it works.
  14. Excellent build, weathering is perfect. Also enjoyed your backstory.
  15. Maybe should'a skipped that last Tequila.
  16. Beautiful execution and kit-bashing. Really like the customization of the cab, very nice work.
  17. Looks like after Martinsville or Bristol with Earnhardt Sr., DW, or maybe the Allisons in hot pursuit. Very nice, realistic build.
  18. Glad to have another Tarheel on the forum. Whereabouts are you located in the great state of NC?
  19. Very well-developed concept. Before I saw the picture with the T-Bird roof I was thinking some form of buttress to break up the vertical C pillar would make it look better.
  20. Sorry, the ones I have are destined for a build I have in the works. Hadn't planned on this build but it just sort of fell in place.
  21. I am holding the AMT '53 Ford windshield until you decide whether you want it or not. If it is too small then I will hold on to it, no need sending you something you cannot use. Let me know your decision.
  22. Great looking wagon, looks factory original.
