  3. I know the feeling!....but its worth it to redo it til YOU like it!!...welcome back!! -I like to use canopy glue to pre-assemble things as well...
  4. Hey everyone!, this is my Tamiya BMC Mini Cooper by Tamiya. I wanted to see if I could build an interesting model within a week, so I decided to build this. Somehow it looks right at home up there...lol!! This was just suppose to be pure fun, and it was!, everything under it is from an Aoshima Hilux kit, the dash is from a Renault Alpine, and the engine is laughably from a Tamiya Jaguar XJ220! -I think I will go back and add a few things to it, like a winch....
  5. CLASSIC!!……..I totally love it!!
  6. This is SOOOOO cool!!, those are crazy looking bead-locs you have there!!
  7. Thanks, Ricky!...they would be!!...lol
  8. I had a Hotwheels that looked just like this, with two yellow dirt bikes in the back......same kolors and all!!

  11. Thanks, Matthijs!, his verdict was; The handling was a bit scary...its insanely fast, and that's a good thing since the interior is VERY loud, and HOT!!!...it finished my lap before I went def sweating my......off!!...lol
  12. Thanks, Ritchie!!, hope you are doing well?!!
  13. This really is a beautiful build!!…..some day I will get to mine...I think...lol, GREAT job!!
  14. LOL!.....thanks, Marty!!, its weird, but I don't really like Superman, i'm more of a Batman...Punisher person, but the Superman shirt was the only one that fit at the time, and I needed a shirt.....lol
  15. Hey, Chris!, the best way I can describe my coats is by distance and speed. If you spray too far away, with a slow speed, you will get heavy dry-spray, If you spray too far away with the proper speed, you will get a light coat of dry-spray. If you hold the can 4 inches away with a 1-2 second pass, you will get the perfect light coat! Unless i'm going for texture, my distance stays at 4 inches, its how long it takes me to do each individual pass, that adjusts light to heavy coats. Tipically for me, each side of the cars body takes 4 passes from rocker to drip rail....I start spraying with the rockers, do the first side, then the second, then the under side of the front fascia.....back and forth, overlapping passes side to side (Not longitudely) until I go under the rear bumper. Hope this helps, bud!...let me know if you need help with anything else!
  16. Thanks a lot, everybody!!
  17. This is my Testors De Tamaso Pantera GTS. Its a basic, but pretty nice kit......a fun build! The only annoying thing was the fact that the breather holes in the wheels were filled-in.....took a little while to open them up, but it worked perfectly! I got the Pirrelli PZero tyres from a Fujimi Wheels & Tyres set. I cut open the front grilles, and SB The emblem on it.
  18. Hey everyone!, My wife, Tina built this Revell 56 Ford Pickup. It was her second model ever, and its totally detailed. This ISNT the Foose version, but the rather HORRIBLE original version. Nothing fit good, but she stuck to it, and did I great job!!!......Stig thinks so too!!!
  19. WOW!!….cant believe I missed the tierod!!!!….I will add one....thanks, mike!!
  20. Sorry, Jim....I woulda gave it to you, since I only needed the wheels, but I binned the rest of it a long time ago....sorry
  21. Hey, Chris!, here is the clearcoat I use, another awesome clear that has Super fine Rainbow flakes in it, and the primer I start with. You cannot use any other Duplicolor paint, or primer until you put down an opaque coverage of the Filler primer first!....it will kraze every time!! Heres how I paint my bodies; I shoot 1 opaque coat( 2-3 light coats ), sand with 2000 grit, 1 more light coat of filler primer, and either shoot one of the other Duplicolor primers, or start laying-down your color. for me, its almost always; 4 filler coats, 4 kolor, and 4 clear coats......sanding with 2000 grit between every coat after the opaque coat. What you get with this system, is a properly scaled-down gloss. You probably wont win any paint finish awards, since judges like STUPIDLY out 0f scale finishes, but all of my builds have won awards.
  22. Thanks, JC!, You, and everybody else might cringe, but this is where I got the wheels from......
  23. Thanks, Gary!....ya, and there is almost NOTHING to confidently glue your windscreen to...
  24. Thanks, Jim!
