  1. That is just beautiful, Chuck!
  2. Not sure why, but the AMT '58 Belvedere really gave me a beating! I had heard that there were some parts in the kit that MIGHT be a little stubborn, but I thought it was a nice diversion from the same old Fords and Chevys, it would be really cool to build one that wasn't just another red/white clone car. So, with the help of a PE set, and some gold BMF, I set out to make what SHOULD have been a simple conversion to a real Fury. Boy, was I wrong!! It had to go swimming at least a half-dozen times, and nothing, and I mean NOTHING, fit together quite right! I FINALLY got it "together", but it now sits on my shelf as a reminder of how NOT to build a model kit! I still like the idea of building a model of a rather unusual subject that is a great looking car, is not just another red/white clone, maybe I will get the nerve to try this one again sometime!
  3. Very nice conversion you did there!
  4. Sorry to hear that, Tony.
  5. Nice job, looks very good!
  6. Very nicely done, Jason!
  7. The owners here have actually paid for most, if not all, of the cost of the last few stadiums! Though they do get an ENORMOUS tax break if they build in the city proper, not the suburbs. But our roads look like Europe at the end of WWII, and I think the whole world knows about the water issue here! (Very ironic that there is a huge water issue in a place called the Great Lakes State!!)
  8. Very nice job! Don't see that many of those!
  9. Very cool, Erik! Haven't seen one of those in a really long time!
  10. Yet another very nice project on your bench, Steve! Very unusual subject, it looks to be a very nice example too! I'll be watching this one also.
  11. Nice find, Ron! Haven't seen a Square 'Bird in a while!
  12. Nice work, David! Don't see too many '60's here, even fewer stock ones!
  13. Very nice work, Paul. Haven't seen one of those in quite a while!
  14. Well, there you go again, Steve, making my skills look bad! But, seriously, I really love seeing what you do with all of those old Johan Chryslers, this one will be no different!
  15. Good for you, Harry!! Glad to hear that you found something to get the old fire re-kindled, those look like great kits!
  16. Excellent work, Dave! I have a Galaxie kit and Cady decal set to do one of those waiting their turn in line, also!
  17. Two more outstanding models from your bench, Tulio!!
  18. Very nice work! Other than a proper Fury, which is a dark beige with gold trim, the red and white combo does look best on those Plymouths!
  19. Very nice work Tulio! Those mirrors will add a very nice touch to your already exquisite work! Now, think about what you named this thread, do you seriously think that is possible?
  20. Complainers like that tend to lurk in the shadows to see the reaction to their complaint! If no one agrees, you will never know who said what, but if everyone agrees, then they are the first to make it known that they said it! Now, if names were to be named...
  21. You have no reason to apologize, Doug! Like a few others have said, I, too, would like to see a few more close ups of your work, but when I see your name on a post I have a pretty good idea of what I will see when I look at it, I would think everyone else does too, that is a model set into a very nice background setting with some very good photography! Anyone who has a problem with it is free to just skip past it. Just keep on doing what you enjoy doing!
  22. I don't have a woman to shop for, or give me her old supplies for my modeling, but this hobby is for enjoyment, and seeing the looks on some of the women's faces at Walgreen's when I shop for nail polish with no woman around already greatly adds to that enjoyment! And now I get to shop for pantyhose?! That will add even more to that enjoyment! Maybe I can find a modeling use for make up next!!
  23. Very sharp Phaeton you have there, John!
  24. Very nice, Al! And, like the others have said, that car just screams out to be that color!
  25. Very well done, Terry! It is amazing what can be done with a plain old "snapper" with a little time and skill!
