  1. Wow....talk about polishing a turd! You have done a terrific job on this 'vette. I have a few of these, and have only built one. the flash on my kit was unbelievable. The lift on the hood really makes a difference. should be a great one when completed.
  2. they both look pretty killer. That '61 is just wicked in red. Great Job on both.
  3. I Love It! what a great year, what a great car! My Favorite Sox & Martin entry. Your model sure does this awesome racer Justice.
  4. Not anything special. just a box stock build up of an old AMT kit. Nothing added, and all that was taken away was a bunch of chrome. The wheels were stripped, and painted with embrol aluminum. drilled out the exhaust pipes, and used a metalizer paint on them. Masking and painting the body was pretty straight forward, and I used some plastickote paint from a can. The decals were extremely fragile, due to their age I suppose, fortunately, only one broke during application, and it was an easy fix. Yeah, it has a generic suspension, and the rollcage requires patience, But it builds up into a nice display piece. This was a kit I got tired of looking at, wondering how it would look. so, I built it up. Thanks for asking.
  5. it really looks great. That red is a real eye popper. nice model!
  6. I think all three incarnations look great. the last color scheme reminds me, I need to call a local rancher, I saw a 1:1 raven black '69 Mach 1 sitting out behind a barn on his ranch. Hmmm.........................
  7. Thats a very nicely detailed engine compartment. Looks terrific. Do you have the "Ramcharger" decal for the underhood airbox? if not, let me know, I just may have an extra.
  8. terrific job on a very nice kit. these were under appreciated kits, but for that I'm thankful. I stocked up. They also make for a fun driver..........................
  9. My very first 1:1 that was ever titled in my name was a 1970 Super Bee. it was a stripe delete car, with just a big super bee decal on the quarter panel. my car was FK5 Dark Burnt Orange Metallic. and it was optioned up pretty good. but I do remember a Go Man Go Challenger at my High school back in 1978, and your color on this great Dodge is spot-on. I personally LOVE the '70 Front end. I've built a replica of my first ride, but I used an AMT kit. will be waiting to see yours completed.
  10. Wow. Thats a beauty alright. I love car haulers, and it looks like this ones going to be killer.
  11. The sapphire blue is pretty stunning. Thats one nice 'A body' Mopar. Great Looking Model.
  12. I was thinking exactly the same thing. that amt kit is pretty bad. Your '65 GTO looks terrific. But I like all of them. Nice work.
  13. Thats a beautiful '71. Nice build, unusual color, and a great job on the vinyl roof.
  14. pulled this out of the pile and slapped it together. AMT 1/25 scale 1975 AMC Matador:
  15. Here is a 1:1 in that scheme. taken a few years ago at Bandimere Speedway in Morrison Colo. This was a very nice '71 HEMI car.
  16. DeTomaso Pantera. I have been very fortunate to own some terrific cars in my life. almost all were Musclecars. Still own a couple. But this is one vehicle that has eluded my garage for far to long when I find the right one, I'll buy it.
  17. try using Testors 'model master' #2917. bright yellow.
  18. This '67 Corvette was shot with Tamiya White. Then I shot Tamiya clear over it. Like you, I was looking for a clear that wouldnt yellow over time, this Tamiya clear works very, very well.
  19. recently, a friend of the wife commented on how she had an old corvette model she would send my way. " I think its a 1968" was all she said about it. you know, I figured it was a revellogram issue, and maybe there would be some decent parts in the box. after being out of town, I returned home, and this is the kit that was waiting for me: Yeah, a 1966 Corvette Stingray, An original issue kit from 1966. its really in nice shape, and very, very complete. most of the parts are still on the sprue. the skinny tires and the whitewall stickers, complete with special instructions, made me smile: definitely not what I was expecting. pretty cool though.
  20. that '71 Dodge Challenger R/T with the sunroof is pretty stunning. knowing that just a handful (Literally) were built. And the "Ramchargers" car is history at its finest. Thanks for the pics, their great!
  21. well, I wont bore you with single pics of all of them, I will share a picture of one corner of my toyroom. this tower is seven foot tall, and has four sides, all loaded:
  22. congratulations! a wild looking hearse. I love the pro-street look.
  23. tried to re-sign up over there. either their having some real difficulties with their system, or my computer is screwed up. it would absolutely not let me in. dont believe I was ever banned over there, at least this site will still have me........
  24. tough looking chevelle. really nice detail all around. Looks like a pretty decent kit. awesome model.
  25. looks great. but why not use '68 Coronet R/T stripes on it instead? or '68 Superbee stripes? I do believe I have some extra FredCady ones I'd send to you. was saving them for the '68 Coronet I always wished would be released.................. anyway, I like it, but it would look pretty cool with '68 Dodge Coronet R/T or Superbee bumblebee stripes.
