my name is nobody replied to DanielG's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
my first model was Bob Riggle's "Hemi Under Glass" 1966 Barracuda didnt paint it. but it turned out okay. hard to believe that was four decades ago............. -
wicked Merc'. this is a superb model. very unusual color, too. One very tough looking Cyclone.

Coolest Hummer Ever!!!
my name is nobody replied to Modelmartin's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Well, I'm one of the idiots who bought one. Actually, I'm one of the 325 idiots who bought one in Dec.2009. I purchased a H3 because I like them. and it was the only Hummer availible with a 5 speed manual transmission. being it's a 2009 model, and it sat on the dealers lot for almost the whole year, I got a S C R E A M I N G deal on it. almost exactly half off sticker. I paid $20,000. and unlike some Hummer owners, mine actually gets slapped into four wheel drive all the time. of course, I live in Montana. Fuel Mileage? well, its just getting 22 mpg right now, but I plan to tinker with the exhaust and the air intake, maybe it will go up a little. a 240 Horsepower 5 cylinder, with a 5 speed manual transmission, and 4:56 gears, it does what I want it to. Sad to see so many people with so much hatred for a capable vehicle. I had a AM General H1 save my bacon in combat, more than once, so maybe that made me partial when I looked for a new vehicle. -
Great Kit. & A great build up of this kit. grabber green is a rare color on this car. I have a 1:1, however mine is grabber yellow. Far more common than this shade of green. very nice model. beautiful engine detail, too.
-
This is a very nice model of one great kit. terrific job on the graphics. I built one of these when they were first released. and I think its an awesome kit. still have a couple in the unbuilt pile. Great Build Up.
-
This is a beautiful build up. Not many racing Volare's. everything looks perfect as always. another wicked Mopar drag racer for your shelf.
-
paint it grabber yellow............I'm just a little biased......
-

Been in all kinds of cars, going all kinds of speed. did I mention we used to have NO DAYTIME SPEED LIMIT in Montana? ..................EDITED................................. Sorry. Dont want to be accused of telling "Fish Stories". -
That is one great looking Snowplow, Mike. the dirty details are fantastic. One Awesome Model.
-
Thats a great looking Mustang. I love the color scheme, and the fact that you used the old '68 GT rocker panel stripes. I grew up in a family that believed in Ford wagons. they are really tough, and will run forever with proper care. anyway, I really like your Mustang.
-
Now thats an unusual build up. great color, Looks terrific. How appropriate that you photographed it on shag carpeting.
-
Beautiful build of the best racing Corvette, Ever.

The Dead Cow. First year students at Texas A&M Vet school were attending their first anatomy class, with a real dead cow in the middle of the classroom. They all gathered around the surgery table, with the body of the cow covered in a white sheet. The Professor started the class by telling them; "In Veterinary Medicine,it is neccessary to have two qualities as a Doctor, The first is that you not be disgusted by anything involving the animal body, for example," The Professor pulled back the sheet and stuck his finger in the butt of the dead cow, withdrew it and stuck his finger in his mouth. "Go ahead and do the same thing". he told his students. The students freaked out, hesitated for several minutes, But eventually took turns sticking their own finger in the dead cows butt, and sucking on it. when they all had finished, The Professor looked at them and said; "The second most important quality is observation, I stuck in my middle finger, and sucked on my index finger. Now, pay attention........Life is tough, it's tougher if your stupid." -
that blue is stunning. what a beautiful build. my favorite car, in my favorite color. one killer model.
-
I like the stance. the wide rear magnum 500 rims are really eye catching. one of my all time favorite model kits, in all it's incarnations. building one myself right now, as a seventies street machine. I'm going for more of a 'rake' than what you have going on with your kit. those deep 500's really caught my eye though.

That Comet looks great.
-
Great job so far. My very first 1:1 was a '70 Super Bee. Same color. Have even built a replica of her, using the Fred Cady decal sheet. and MCW Dark Burnt Orange Metallic paint. my car was a stripe delete. just had a Super Bee decal on the quarter panel. I have a great fondness for this model Dodge.
-
Pretty much sums it up, right there.
-
Beautiful Build-up. this has to be my favorite year Impala. And your model looks great in white. I won a couple of these kits years ago, at a Car Show trivia contest. I really should open them up and build them, it looks like a great model.
-
whew, thats plum crazy! nice E body Mopar.

1970 Ford Torino Twister Special
my name is nobody replied to Mr. Can Am Garage's topic in Model Cars
looking at my post, I see it as a little heavy handed, and for that, I'm sorry. These cars are terrific! And 'Mr. Can Am Garage' did a nice job on both models. Anyway, to me, these were some of the least respected, best performance mid size Fords, ever. I guess having a cobra jet Torino in the garage makes me a little bit biased.
