  1. PM sent. Thanks!
  2. I just tried creating a build thread and got the 404 error message. Replying to posts seems to work fine, but creating new ones isn't working for me right now.
  3. It also irks me that as I type this, we have 301 pages of annoyances and only 135 pages on positive stuff.
  4. Our services went out on Tuesday night. Lost cable, internet, and phone due to a system failure by our provider. Knocked out half our town. Didn't bother me, as I just went and read my book. But based on the reactions of the rest of the household, you'd think the apocalypse had begun. It would have been funny had I not been held responsible for everything, and getting everything back up and running ASAP. Umm...the whole Shaw system is down, it's not an issue with our stuff. "Well fix it!" Good grief.
  5. After checking out the website, I'm even more excited about this car show. I want to attend! I'm a huge fan of the 80s. As ridiculous and superficial as it was, and as crappy as the cars were, I love it. Radwood is a celebration of '80s and '90s automotive lifestyle. The car show that blends period correct dress with automotive awesomeness. A period correct event for cars, trucks, and bikes from 1980-1999 that captures the essence of a bodacious era. Wear your best '80s and '90s clothing and bring your rollerblades or BMX bike, because it's going to get RAD!
  6. Heck yeah! I'm in for sure on this one!
  7. This arrived yesterday. Found on EBay. New and still in the plastic wrap, and about 1/3 of what I normally see these go for! I now have three of these, plus a couple of the Italeri reissue. Still need to find the red version though.
  8. St Albert Dodge is part of the same auto group as Sherwood Dodge, who have a pretty big selection of classic Mopar stuff, and other classics, for sale. https://www.sherwooddodge.ca/used-inventory/index.htm?year=1880-1980&sortBy=year+asc&
  9. I'm not sure if it's awesome, ridiculous, or a bit of both, but one of my coworkers drives this. Need to find out who.
  10. Should check the VIN, see if it's one of these. https://www.swinger340specials.ca/ And if so, buy it!
  11. Very cool. I have the Pyro 1/24 motorized Beetle. kit is complete, including motor. Was my father in law's, found among his comic and magazine collection after he passed, along with a pile of vintage WW2 plane kits. Will build it one day.
  12. I guess they look at licensing as a cost. And at the end of the day, why would they pay to produce promo models, when eventually they'll find a company to pay them ridiculous amounts of money to do it for them!
  13. Interesting. I didn';t realize that Crosstown were that into the performance stuff. They're still around, about 5 minutes from me, and they're just a run of the mill bland Chrysler dealer now.
  14. You nailed it! FCA is notorious in the industry for their rules and demands when it comes to licensing. Frustrates the dealers, as diecasts of older product are huge, and demand for new diecast is massive. But it's not happening.
  15. The kits I would want to see are not neccessarily ones that the rest of the modelling world would purchase! 1968 Fury III convertible. - we had one of these when I was in high school. Was one of the cars I learned to drive in. 1978 Ford Thunderbird. My first car. Have always wanted a kit of this, but the only one i've ever seen is an awful 1/32 Lindberg kit. Late 70s Ford boat. I love these big old ugly things! Pic is an LTD II, but any late 70s boat would be great. Country Squire, LTD, Caprice, Fury, whatever. It's all good! Late 70s Dodge trucks. Especially in Power Wagon form! Modern pickups. we don;t need more late 60s Fords or GMs. Let's see something built in the last five years! New Ram trucks, new GMC/Chev trucks. Anything! Well...anything but Ford. Ha! Modern SUV. Again, modern vehicles. I'm tired of seeing 60s muscle cars, 50s cars, hot rods, and junky reissues. I want modern vehicles. And what I think would actually be a sure fire hit, a chassis cab. In this case, 2018 Ram 5500. Imagine how great that would be to have an actuall proper chassis cab we could build on! A couple of other things: 2013+ Dodge Challenger - something with the current interior, especially in Hellcat or Hellcat Widebody form! Semi trucks build after 1980. Again, vintage trucks are only slightly interesting, and have been done to death. Let's see some more modern era trucks. Again, I know these wouldn't be the most popular choices, so I wouldn't realistically expect any of these to go into production, but I can dream.
  16. So my kid isn't the only one! The boy is 13, and getting him into the shower takes a while, getting him out takes even longer!
  17. Hit the antique mall earlier. Lots of kits there this time. I should go back and take some pics, see if anyone here wants them. Anyway, found these, talked to the seller and got them two for one. So $12CDN. The Ferrari is missing instructions, the Corvette has been primed, otherwise, all is complete.
  18. I was really happy with the one I built. Only issue I had was getting the body on. The engine doesn't really fit into the engine bay very well. Very tight squeeze!
  19. So what happened to the Charles Manson thread? Someone cross a line in there today?
  20. I only have one prima donna. Actually, the better term would be self-centered narcissistic egotistical princess. And if things don't change next week, she will most likely be gone by Christmas. Today was a MUCH better day!
  21. I don't think I've ever broken $100 on a kit. But I have spent more than that on certain guitar parts. Just don't tell my wife.
  22. Dealing with staff. I know I'm the boss, and this goes with the territory, but having to drop everything to deal with an issue caused by someone's lack of intgrity and respect really bothers me.
  23. Wow. There is some cr*p in this thread! Those Model King kits. Holy Moly.
  24. Have to say, not a very exciting show last night. Wifey thinks I'm nuts, but I miss driving in the snow. Wish we'd get a dump here. Today is going to be 3 degrees and sunny, been like that for a week, is going to be like that for at least another week. Sounds like next week is the seaon finale, andit's going be a history lesson; Jamie discussing the history of towing. And a lot of Mighty Mo. Honestly, sounds like a snooze fest to me. I may have missed it in past shows, but does Jamie have a personal connection to Mighty Mo? Or is it just some old truck he things is awesome? I think I'd be more interested if I knew that it was the first truck he ever owned, or belonged to his dad, or something like that.
