It's most likely going to get the flathead from the 40 pickup. -
Do not know but should be close enough.

I bought this partially built model for parts to repair another but found some parts from a newer kit to put it back together,I used the hood and tailgate on the other one but the cab was damaged so I picked up a 80s version for the parts to rebuild. Could not find paint that matches so it's a work in progress.
-
Now to figure out what color to paint it.

I thought Monogram made a couple Mid 50s Ford trucks and what engines did they have, never built one and do have a few from AMT I could use. -
I have a unbuilt 65 kit and it has a convertible top and that is what I was wanting but the 66 top will do until I find one.
-
Did Monogram make anything with a Y block,I think my latest 34 Ford coupe needs one.
-
It looks like the top is not correct for this year but I like it,I was hoping to find a convertible top but the hard top will work.

This will be my fourth one in the last couple months, since it's mostly used parts it will have primered parts for a beater hotrod. -
I have almost enough parts to build another and since this one has been glued together it's a little rough so time for primer spot hotrod. This one will be mostly built with vintage parts.
-
This came from.a thrift store missing parts and had some incorrect parts too,I had to get correct hubcaps as it had Pontiac 8 lugs and was missing the top, radiator and had a incorrect engine. Left the paint alone and just done some detailing.
-
It's apart and must of been in a damp area since I had a hard time getting the screws out and were rusty.
-
Probably just use the whole 65 engine but are the optional Buick engine in the 40 Ford kits similarly made. I noticed all the Ford FE engines of that era were similar except the trans.
-
I do not have the parts to fix it but have them on the way,I have a complete unbuilt 65 engine on the way that should have the parts I need.
-
This was with that bunch of parts I picked up early last year and is going to get restored, going to remove the side pipes and repaint and the chassis is definitely going to be painted. It has a incomplete engine and have one coming and might see if I can get a nicer set of bumpers. I am also going to see if I can find some stock wheel covers or ralley wheels.

Plain Jane 56 Chevy

I was told they were a pain to build so I am going to get the later version and build it,the guy at the hobby shop said he never seen anyone build that version. -
I have a old Revell 56 I started on last night but after looking at the trim that goes down the side I doubt I can get them off the trees without destroying them so did GM ever make one with no side trim.
-
If it did not have that decal I wanted to save I would have painted it and done a better job of painting the trim,it was originally put together by a teenager back in the 60s.
