The engine will be the 390 from the 34 pickup kit.

Since I am on a roll with 40s it's time to build my version of this box art,I have been wanting to do this for a couple years and it's now going to happen. My version is going to have a hoped up OHV engine and big and littles but still have the original hubcaps.

These two were in pieces in a big lot of parts I picked up earlier this year,I got bored this past weekend I decided to put them together and and not do too much to them.

Hopefully my last AMT 40 for awhile will be a sedan built like the one on the early 60s box,I found some paint that should match and I hope no more 40 kits come my way. It's time to build anything different. -

I am going to try to not build any more 40s after this batch I have but who knows what will.happen years down the road. Now if someone would make a 40 woody kit then I would definitely need to get a couple. -

I am going to leave the dust on it for that barn find look.

Found a rear end and had to sacrifice a chassis to get it out, also found everything else I needed so this one is going to be a quick reassembly.

I have two 40s going together and this is number 2,since this one has some damage on both rear fenders it's going to be a beater. This one is really glued together so it can not come apart to repair it correctly, just going to do some detailing and reassembly. Now to see if I can find a rear end and headlights.

I do have some bodies that are not worth rebuilding so I might have to build some dirt track cars.

I have a feeling most of us are in this situation and it's probably not a bad thing,on my post of the latest 40 I am building someone shown a picture of his version of a race car and I do have some that are not worth rebuilding that would make excellent dirt track cars so it's never going to end. -
I told myself I was done building 1940 Ford's no matter who made them since I had built plenty, well I recently picked up a Monogram 40 pickup from the 60s for some parts for another project so I picked up a later unbuilt version to use for parts to fix it and then I done some trading to get another 60s 40. Looking through that big stash of parts I picked up earlier this year I found two savable AMT 40 coupe bodies so I am putting them back together and then I still have that AMT 40 sedan I want to build like what's on the box. Since I am on a roll with the 40s I will just finish all of them and then go on to the rest of my projects, never say never because it will always haunt you.

Found another 40,the hood is glued shut so probably no engine but I have a Nailhead ready to go in. This one will most likely be a beater hotrod,it actually has no chassis but do have one ready to go and just need to find a rear end as I do not think zi have any that are good. A couple quicky 40s.

Anyone know how old this paint is
junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
That was the only one I had with the price on the cap. -

Going leave the paint as is and the engine will be the Olds from the sedan kit since I have the headers.

Kind of bored tonight and waiting on parts for one project and need paint for others so time to do something with this 40 body I got with a bunch of 60s parts. Looks like it was intended to be a race car so that's what it will be.

Looked at the Micro Mark website and found plenty of tools to buy. -
Is there any paint that will match

I do not know if I can get it apart without damaging anything. -

I might have another cab located in the same color.
