Usually the wheels I bought had holes for the axle but these wheels are not drilled, what would be the best way to find the center.

Is there any paint that will match

It came molded in that color. -

I got a 80s or 90s version of the 40 pick up coming but it's going to be used for parts to finish a few projects. -
Other model car forums

I used to frequent a few others but in order to post pics one had to use a picture hosting website and that was too much of a pain for me so I just stay here. -

Bidding on another 60s unbuilt Monogram 34 Ford kit again too, starting to get addicted to those 60s kits. -
I think I have picked up five built and partially built 1960s Monogram 40 Ford trucks and said I was not going to do it again but I did get another partially built one that has not used stock rims and hubcaps, those rims and hubcaps are going to be used on a 70s version of the Monogram 34 Ford convertible to build a 50s style hotrod and I will do something with the partially built 40 but really got it for those rims and hubcaps. I won the auction while at the Sturgis motorcycle rally and it's waiting for me at home and will be home tomorrow.

Just needs a little finessing to make it better, remember its now a old mold so its not going to be perfect. I recently rebuilt one as a work in progress with a different colored front end so the not so good fitting was not a concern.

$1k MPC Mr Norm Funny Car
junkyardjeff replied to Rodent's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I would love to find a old sealed kit to build but would no way give that much money for one,I have 3 or 4 opened unbuilt kits that will get built. -
The convertible will be built as a 50s hotrod.
-
This is the one that will become the four cylinder version, going to set it on a in used chassis I have since the front axle is broken.
-
Change of plans, picked up a 60s built coupe to use for the four cylinder version and the 70s convertible kit will be built as a 50s hotrod.
-
The more I think about it is I am only going to use the hood sides from this kit and use the rest of the parts I collected to do the build, going to use a Monogram model A engine for the four cylinder.
-
A few years ago I built one with a AMT kit and since wanted to build one with a Monogram, been collecting 60s and 70s Monogram parts but could not find a complete hood so I picked up a unbuilt 70s convertible kit so it will start. Going to use a coupe top on this build and then will use the rest of the parts I collected with the 70s chassis to build a hotrod convertible with no hood sides.

What was your first model car?
junkyardjeff replied to Kit Karson's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think it was a Palmer 1/32 68 Galaxie convertible. -
Picked up a unbuilt Monogram 34 Ford convertible kit off eBay,going to take the coupe top from the 60s kit and build a four cylinder coupe version .

Do you also have 1:1 project cars?
junkyardjeff replied to ctruss53's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Drug this home last year,it's rough and not sure I am going to finish it but has a lot of good parts if I find a better body. Had one for a first car and been wanting another for years, they can still be found reasonable so no sense in spending a bunch of money on this one. -
62 F 100
junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in Model Trucks: Pickups, Vans, SUVs, Light Commercial
This is a original 62, since it screws togather I will do something about the roof later as I need a new chrome pen for detailing. Trying to match the paint might not be easy.
