Along with the convertible I also have a original issue hardtop,it was originally built as a race car but I am going to put it back stock.

I wish the 60s kit could have been built like this but the hotrod version was more a late 50s style which was more close to the time as I think it came out around 62. It took me some time to gather all the parts to build my unbuilt kit like this not knowing I would gather the parts to build two.

Going for a early 50s look.

I pieced this together from mostly 60s parts from a couple partial 60kits I got to build another 34. The complete chassis, fenders, hood and roof and other small parts are from the Monogram 34 kits, the rims and hubcaps are from the Monogram 40 pickup kit also from the 60s and the body is from the 90s and the engine is from a 80s 40 pickup. Rear tires are from a 60s monogram race car and front tires are from the 37 Ford pickup. I have a unbuilt 34 kit and parts all from the 60s to do the same as this one but will might be next year now.

Yes I am interested.

This is one of my friend's thrift store finds this past summer and was missing the engine and a couple wheels,I was at a model swap meet yesterday and found a engine so while paint and glue is drying got it out to put back together. Going to leave the paint alone but might paint the top white and trying to find the correct wheels.

Tamiya maroon matches the 60s Monogram maroon, just the body was painted and the roof and fenders are original.

Looking good.

I managed to get a complete kit for a little over 50 dollars and a few partial kits for about 20 each and those partial kits along with some other parts I had is what built this one. The cheapest one I seen lately had a buy it now price for a little over a hundred. -
Got it all out of the box and missing one head light and tail light so might get postponed until I can find another partial 60s kit since I was planning on not painting,I will finish the chassis and then put everything in the box and go on to another.

This project was a couple years in the making,I ended up buying a few partial kits to build it with mostly 60s parts and the engine came from a 70s model A kit. It still has V8 emblems on the hubcaps and grille but had no way to replate.

The kit I built last year was in a flatter box so I presume it's a earlier kit.
-
Anyone know about what year this kit came out.

Just going to do a simple build like I did on the convertible last year, just some minor detailing in the interior and painting of the engine. The body and frame will be left as it was molded.
