1941 Ford truck 4 cylinder engine
junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I think I can modify a A engine to look like one. -
I said I was done getting any more but that was not the truth, found a very nice 60s version built stock that I just had to get and would go rather nicely with my other three. I also picked up a 90s version I was going to use for parts but did not so it will get built eventually and will post pics when the 60s version arrives. I think I am addicted to getting those 60s models.

I am certain it's acetate. -
Was a 215 or 223 Ford six ever made
junkyardjeff replied to junkyardjeff's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
It does look similar to a Stovebolt six and everything is about in the same place but a oil filter will need to be added to the block. -
Getting there, going to do a little detailing and it will be done until I can find glass that will fit.
-
It got a engine and it's a Y block and a 3 speed, years ago I seen a rough 61 Starliner at a all Ford swap meet with a six and if I had a six this one would have gotten one. No need to finish the top of the engine on this one.

I meant in kit form. -
Would this have been a promo but the custom rear bumper was made to fit so it possibly had optional custom parts.
-
I think the top has been slightly chopped in the front and will have to fix that when I find the windows.

What kits had metal bumpers

Going through the stash of parts and found metal bumpers,55 Buick and Caddy and a 50 Ford and some others. -

Look at this chassis that was on it and making a 58 Edsel frame fit,has custom rear bumper that eventually get removed and will not be perfect but anything is better then how it arrived.

That is where I thought I put it.

I had this 40 Ford sedan box for about 40 years and have been thinking about building one similar to the one on the box for a couple years, well I found a almost complete kit so time to start. It's not going to be exact but will be in as close to the colors as I can find but will be more as a hotrod,it will have a dropped front axle with big and little tires but will have the original hubcaps but no trim rings and have a big engine under the hood. The engine will most likely be the 390 from the 34 pick up kit since I have a few.

Picking this up Monday.

I think most are not worth messing with, alot we're put together without a chassis and wheels glued in place with parts from the trees or the axles some how glued in and most are common AMTs. Going to remove the usable parts and throw the bodies in a box or give away, just not worth spending any money on to save when it can still be bought.
