  1. Would this have been a promo but the custom rear bumper was made to fit so it possibly had optional custom parts.
  2. I think the top has been slightly chopped in the front and will have to fix that when I find the windows.
  3. Going through the stash of parts and found metal bumpers,55 Buick and Caddy and a 50 Ford and some others.
  4. Found the stock rear bumper.
  5. Look at this chassis that was on it and making a 58 Edsel frame fit,has custom rear bumper that eventually get removed and will not be perfect but anything is better then how it arrived.
  6. That is where I thought I put it.
  7. I will have to post some pics of the home made frame it has,it was made from the parts trees.
  8. I figured that is how it would be,I do have a chassis from the latest 58 Edsel I can see how it fits.
  9. For example I came up with a 60 Ford Starliner that is missing parts so would parts from the latest version work on the original 1960 version or is it totally different. I am missing the chassis, rear bumper and glass.
  10. I had this 40 Ford sedan box for about 40 years and have been thinking about building one similar to the one on the box for a couple years, well I found a almost complete kit so time to start. It's not going to be exact but will be in as close to the colors as I can find but will be more as a hotrod,it will have a dropped front axle with big and little tires but will have the original hubcaps but no trim rings and have a big engine under the hood. The engine will most likely be the 390 from the 34 pick up kit since I have a few.
  11. I think most are not worth messing with, alot we're put together without a chassis and wheels glued in place with parts from the trees or the axles some how glued in and most are common AMTs. Going to remove the usable parts and throw the bodies in a box or give away, just not worth spending any money on to save when it can still be bought.
  12. If they did not have a opening hood this one does now,it's also missing the part the chassis screws to in the front so if I try to save it I will have to find a chassis that will fit along with a interior and of course a hood to fill the hole.
  13. Found the chassis and did it have a opening hood and a interior.
  14. Thanks for the info,I need to see if the rest of it is there and put it back togather.
  15. I found just a body in that collection I just got, still need to see if I have the rest of it but other then the Avanti and 53 I never seen any other Studebakers. I will get pics after work.
  16. The more I think about it the deal was not to bad,I still need to go through all the parts to see if the rest of the parts are there for the bodies.
  17. I have the one coming off eBay,I probably have a intake I could use but do not have a 70s air cleaner.
  18. There is not much I would even thinking about building,it looks like some 10 year old got ahold of them and they are a mess but I could save a Chevy II convertible,63 Riviera, two Corvairs plus there is a complete 58 Pontiac but its rough. There is a couple of those early Monogram 32 Ford coupes and one is very nice and all the Monogram dragsters are decent, most of the AMT stuff is basicly for parts but some could be saved but will not be me. All the parts will help me for years and might have some trading material or find incomplete models to use those parts on,its not as good of a deal as I was hoping but not a waste of money either.
  19. I got it home and I think he sold some after the picture was taken and before I seen it as there is not as many cars in the boxes as shown in the pictures, the cars were boxed up when I went to see it but got plenty of parts.
  20. I just could not pass this up,I was hoping there was a rear bumper for a 65 Wildcat in there but have found bumpers for a 58 and 59 Pontiacs and 60 and 62 F 100s that I will need to find to put those parts on.
  21. Might not need to buy a new kit for many years.
  22. Buying a collection that is mainly from the 60s,not sure what I will do with all of it but there are done goodies in it.
