  1. I have a feeling most of us are in this situation and it's probably not a bad thing,on my post of the latest 40 I am building someone shown a picture of his version of a race car and I do have some that are not worth rebuilding that would make excellent dirt track cars so it's never going to end.
  2. I told myself I was done building 1940 Ford's no matter who made them since I had built plenty, well I recently picked up a Monogram 40 pickup from the 60s for some parts for another project so I picked up a later unbuilt version to use for parts to fix it and then I done some trading to get another 60s 40. Looking through that big stash of parts I picked up earlier this year I found two savable AMT 40 coupe bodies so I am putting them back together and then I still have that AMT 40 sedan I want to build like what's on the box. Since I am on a roll with the 40s I will just finish all of them and then go on to the rest of my projects, never say never because it will always haunt you.
  3. Found another 40,the hood is glued shut so probably no engine but I have a Nailhead ready to go in. This one will most likely be a beater hotrod,it actually has no chassis but do have one ready to go and just need to find a rear end as I do not think zi have any that are good. A couple quicky 40s.
  4. Starting to look like something.
  5. That was the only one I had with the price on the cap.
  6. Used 40 year old paint for the engine
  7. I am guessing it's about 45 years old and is still good,I used it to paint the engine for my latest 40 Ford project.
  8. Going leave the paint as is and the engine will be the Olds from the sedan kit since I have the headers.
  9. Kind of bored tonight and waiting on parts for one project and need paint for others so time to do something with this 40 body I got with a bunch of 60s parts. Looks like it was intended to be a race car so that's what it will be.
  10. Looked at the Micro Mark website and found plenty of tools to buy.
  11. I do not know if I can get it apart without damaging anything.
  12. I might have another cab located in the same color.
  13. Usually the wheels I bought had holes for the axle but these wheels are not drilled, what would be the best way to find the center.
  14. It's being made out of junk parts and made to look like someone home made a larger truck out of a pickup. It has a Y block under the hood and a 2 speed rear out of the Lindberg Dodge cabover.
  15. It came molded in that color.
  16. I told myself I was not going to get any more and this one is my fifth 60s 40 pickup but if I can get more with unused stock rims and hubcaps reasonable I will probably get more,I will be using those rims and hubcaps on the Monogram 34 Fords to build early 50s styled hotrods.
  17. I picked it up for the unused stock rims and hubcaps for another Monogram 34 Ford project,it had a damaged cab and missing most door hinges sons 80s donor kit was needed.
  18. I picked up this partially built 60s Monogram 40 pickup that had a damaged cab, will probably leave the cab in primer but would like to find paint to match so I can paint the rims. Yes the model came with stock rims but are using them on another project.
  19. Monogram 34 Ford and 40 Ford pickups
  20. I got a 80s or 90s version of the 40 pick up coming but it's going to be used for parts to finish a few projects.
  21. I used to frequent a few others but in order to post pics one had to use a picture hosting website and that was too much of a pain for me so I just stay here.
  22. Got outbid on the 34,the kit those rims and hubcaps are going on is a Early Iron kit.
  23. Bidding on another 60s unbuilt Monogram 34 Ford kit again too, starting to get addicted to those 60s kits.
