  1. That one looks to be more like a 460 but I have seen them that resemble both.
  2. My top is 56 years old and might snowball into a complete top and window if where it staples to the tack strip is brittle but this car has not sat outside much so I am hoping its still good enough. I am planning on sewing a new window to the existing curtain so it will still match the top and not look out of place,I have done this many times on newer window curtains but nothing this old.
  3. Yours needs a whole new top,I can just replace the window in mine. 04 was the last year for the mustang to have a two piece top where one or the other can be replaced.
  4. I am going to do it in a garage with heat so it should not be too much trouble,I have been replacing tops for over 30 years and yes it can be a issue when cold but I can do it.
  5. Usually winter is my building time but I tore up the trans in one of my old cars on a trip to Florida over thanksgiving and its snowballing into a bigger project,I think I have the trans working but I am finding other things to do to it so it looks like I might be in the garage all winter. Working on installing a bigger trans cooler right now that in my younger days would have been done by now but still working on it and its a convertible with a top and rear window that were installed in 63 and I can barely see out of the window so its going to get a new rear window this winter.
  6. Picked up this one for the windshield frame and looks like it might end up as another build.
  7. Now that I have most of the parts I am going to build it,stock body and engine but with the Revell speed parts and 40 Ford rims. Trying to make it look like it was put togather in the late 40s,I will have to come up with a windshield frame since the one I have is from a Monogram and is a little larger.
  8. I will never build one of these again, the front suspension is just too delicate and have broken some small parts. I do not need turning wheels and would like to substitute a less delicate front suspension.
  9. This is the 41 Chevy that I started on a few years ago
  10. I am building it as the closed cab p/u,I am also gluing the doors shut and gluing the hood togather so it will not hinge since I do not want them breaking later on.
  11. This one is getting pushed to the front of the line since I will not have to wait on parts and figure out what color to paint, going for a 40s shop truck look painted satin black and what ever color I have in stock interior. Suspension parts will have the chrome removed.
  12. I have a 41 Chevy p/u that has been started on a few years ago.
  13. Found a Revell 29 truck body on ebay but still has 7 days to go and who knows how much it would end up going for so I got this one at a swapmeet today and use that frame and body I have for a future project when I get the rest of the parts to complete it. I saved money buying this one for 15.
  14. I got just the roadster body and interior with the frame but I want to build it with fenders so I am going to look for that Revell p/u body, wanting to build a depression era beater.
  15. I know of the AMT 28 roadster and the Revell 31 sedan delivery but were there others made in 1/25,I picked up a complete AMT 28 chassis and need to find a body to put on it.
  16. Looking through my parts stash I found a dual quad Buick nailhead so plans might change.
  17. I thought it was molded in color but has been painted so its going to get a bath to remove all.
  18. I just want one with mid 60s styled stock valve covers so it looks close.
  19. This is a recent kit so I hope they are not that hard to get off.
  20. Picked up a built 64 Fairlane thunderbolt that I would like to rebuild it as a hipo 289 car so is there a good 289 engine that has a 4 speed on it.
