  3. i started on this one in the on the work bench section earlier this year as a full detail build,but decided to do it as a curbside build.started with a revell 66 elcamino.grafted the front end from the revell 67 chevelle kit.i added the tailights and rear bumper from the 67 chevelle kit too.the bumpers were done with alclad.the wheels and tires are pegasus chrome Ts 18s and 20s.the paint is tamiya black and red with tamiya clear polished out.i lowered it a bit.interior was detailed with revell 10' camaro ss seats,model car garage photoetched seat belt buckles and masking tape seat belts.the steering wheel is from the revell 37 ford and the dash was smoothed and JWTBM stock car gauges were added.thanks for looking. what i was shooting for as far as the look.the mothers 67 elcamino built several years ago. thanks for looking.
  4. i finished this willys last year,but i never posted here.i corrected the revell kit using slixx decals,removed the side trim off the body and added chrome trim to the fenders.the front wheels and tires are from the AMT 33 willys kit.i added plug wires to the engine.the paint and clear is all tamiya.thanks for looking.

  6. i haven't posted here in months.i finished this a couple of months ago for my local model car clubs' darkside stock car build.model king/lindberg 64 plymouth kit,powerslide decals,ppp wheels and tires,tamiya white and testors grabber blue lacquer.tamiya clear polished out.here are few pics.thanks for looking.
  7. after a unexpected move into a new place,i got a work bench set up to start back on this one.the body is in primer.i still have a lot of body work to do before paint.the kit engine has a freds resin workshop intake and carbs for a diffrent look.the headers were made from solder with aluminum tube for the collectors.holes for the reverse lights were cut into rear bumper.the bumpers will be painted with alclad.i hope to get it painted this weekend.more updates soon.
  8. i just started working on this one.our model car club is having a 64-72 chevelle build.i started with the revell 66 el camino kit and i added the front clip,bumper and grill from the revell 67 chevelle kit.the tailights and rear bumper will be from 67 kit too.i plan to use pegasus big and little chrome T's. here is the elcamino that inspired me to do this model.the mothers polishes 67 el camino.i might go with this color scheme.i have not decided yet. more updates soon.

  10. i finished this up a couple of months ago,but just got around to posting it.i wanted to do a black and gold pro touring version of the hurst olds kit.the paint is duplicolor back with PPG urethane clear.i lowered it and added Scale Productions 19" Tec.art Forumula wheels and tires with rear wheels deepened by fellow model car club member jackie ireland.the engine has plug wires,heater hoses and the tri power intake,carbs are from the AMT 69 442 kit.the air cleaner is from the Revell 69 camaro Z/28 kit.thanks for looking.

  17. thanks for the comments guys.i was really surprised to see this one dug up from the past terry,i lowered the front by sanding off the spindle mounting post and gluing the backing plate of the wheel/tire to the spindle.as for rear,i made some blocks out of plastic to put between the axle and the leaf spring.i do not have any pics of the chassis(the model is on display at a local hobby shop).i hope this helps.
  18. sweet work so far bryan!!! the engine,exhaust and stance looks perfect.my uncle had a 62 impala in the same color(fawn)back in the 70's.i'm looking foward to seeing it finished.
