The nice things about the VWs and Mercedes Diesels that I have is that the filters are replaceable element not canister type and sit just like the Ferraris. You unscrew the top of the canister and lift the element out, drop a new one in and replace he top. The Germans do have some good ideas but it was too bad they didn't own Dodge long enough to incorporate many. Now with FIAT owning Dodge heaven only knows how convoluted some things will get. -

Taught the misses to drive stick in a VW diesel. enough torque to be easy teaching clutch control, low max engine speed so she had lots of practise going up and down the gears while still in the neighborhood. ☺ -

Learned to drive riding motorcycles. Graduated to a 67 Chevy pickup with three on the tree. As I've grown older and wiser I have realized that different cars do different things better and I have a problem getting rid of them. my Model A and 84 Mustang GT are both sticks. Model A is a non synchronized trans. You either double clutch or slide gears without a clutch. Daily driver is a VW tdi with DSG clutch less auto and a Nissan pickup auto. This being said, after 1 knee replacement, 1 ankle replacement and scheduled for the second ankle, the sticks are just for fun and after a day driving them I pay for it but... there is nothing like playing teenager in the Mustang and snatching gears breaking the tires loose or profiling in the Model A. Sticks are fun but I now have the luxury of driving when I want and not having to fight traffic daily. I was impressed when the guy next doors nephew (20ish) came over and was driving a 5 speed. There is hope, if the manufacturers will keep making them! -
Really nice build. As a child I remember slot racing this body style. Fell in love with the racing concept and the pure, brute speed and ingenuity these cars had. Llook where car racing is now. Can I say "cookie cutter" cars.

In thw windows paint you can also change the file type. this also has an impact on the size of the photo. you will lose some fidelity but for the size it is almost imperceptible

I met the man who was instrumental in finding the plane. He wanted it for the engines only. This was 2011. Here is the article he had about it at the Osh Kosh museum. One of the "continuation cars they were building. Original drive train and the rest built from original plans. Cars he made were considered "Real Bugattis" and allowed to be shown in concourse events such as Pebble Beach They were also allowed to run as vintage cars at the Monterrey Races

Are you building the 100P?

Unfortunately if you look at your 401K deep enough you will find insurance co. stock. If they do the morally responsible thing and offer care to all, at levels that they may not have paid for their stockholders will shut them down. Welcome to the real world.

This is what would be called in the 60s a design exercise. the big 3 did some that makes this look mainstream! -
I am glad to hear that you are still with us. I have been wondering what has been going on with you. Whatever you do please keep following the DR's orders. any exercise is good at our more mature age the muscles will atrophy so quickly it is amazing. If you have stairs try only one or two steps several times a day and whatever you do don't overdue it. We are not as young as we once were and it seems to take forever to get back to a semblance of normalcy. Good Luck and keep us posted.

Unleaded15... is this stuff any good?
GT4494 replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Even though you can use "auto" gas in private aircraft (with the approved STC) they require Non ethanol only. bur then aircraft use leaded gas too. -

FYI even though all corn can make ethanol, the corn raised for ethanol is not the same as the corn you eat. -
The Shelby America Automobile Club (Rick Kopec) was sanctioned by Carrol to create a SAAC fox body mustang. not many were built but they are unique.

I love the car. Isn't the steering wheel on the "Wrong" side?

Harbor Freight carries it here the way you described. 4 tubes in blister packs for pennies. I call it a one use tube but it will last about 30 days after opening -
Sorry to hear this. I've heard that the NHS is even worse than what they are trying to do to our healthcare. Here they would probably keep her overnight for observation with the concussion and crushed vertebrae. I don't know what they do for pain but watch her close if she is taking prescription meds and tries to get up to use the wc. Meds have a different affect on different people and its better to be safe than sorry until understand how they affect her.

Unfortunately the abusers are why the rules are like they are. Sorry you are so far away, I would invite you over and show you what I have and then leave theroom. Never was good at counting how many are in the bottles. Best of luck with the chemo.

The Japanese and the Russians are famous for "reverse engineering" almost everything they made. I can't remember which one but one country copied an airplane down to the repair panels that the maintenance crews used to keep it flying.

NO to sugar bans. I eat cereal for the sugar rush... "White death" hasn't killed me yet and believe me I should be dead with the stuff I have done

I always thought the gist of the movie was the flathead is dead due to the OHV 265ci Chevy engine. Wouldn't it make more sense for the 55 to have a non oil filter small block? Not sure what the movie car would be though. -
As I understand it the materials (know as gun cotton) is used in the production of ammunition. The new regulations when (not if) pass will make it difficult for manufactures to produce ammunition in calibers smaller than .50 to continue production. Impacts will be that ammunition for Military and Civilian use will become "unobtainable" with the Military having first pick. This is due to the contracts that the manufacturers have with the goverment. Did I stay "Nonpolitical" enough?
