Nice work Jameston! That looks very convincing! Chris

Modified? Could you explain that to me. I wasn't around when they were judging. I was off to lunch. I can answer yor question better then maybe. Chris

Normally I agree with Bob's synopsis of things. Although now I'm going to have to disagree with him. I like the way the cars look. Much cleaner. Cut and dry. Looking at last years cars I felt like I had to re-take Geometry. I did stay up to watch the race and for the most part is was ho-hum, mainly because Ferrari was nowhere to be seen. We'll have to see how the season goes as it looks like it might be up and down for all the teams. Could David Hobbs please not call them "trick" diffusers? They played with the gray area and it worked. Now lets see what happens next race.... Chris

Excellent! That was a cool paint scheme. I may never build that car but I would certainly love to get the decals, only because I was a Seabee as well. Very cool! Chris

A good turnout as far as the automotive section is concerned and very weak in the armor division(pun intended). Little bit of everything there. Great stuff! The Minneapolis crew represented very well and I got to see the great builds they've been posting on the board. Great to see Bill, Bob, Kirby, and Dave. Same with all the other guys. Fun time. Look forward to the next show. Here are a few pics with the link at the bottom for the rest. Chris Best of show winner and well deserved. More photos at MY FOTKI Chris

Billy that looks nothing like the Camaro I sent you! Although the same color on the Camaro would look as awesome as your Corvette. Chris

OK Gregg, that's it, I'm no longer going to feature my auctions at emodelcars.com. I can see that the fees have gone to your head! Well, unless you plan to give me a ride in both. Chris

Just wanted to bump this up as a reminder that the show is tomorrow. Hope to see some of you guys there! Chris

Jon, Bob(zoom-zoom) touched on this subject over on another site. I agree with his statement about this being a much broader appeal globally. I think the 25 scale stuff was aimed more at the American market than the global market. Le Mans is a huge race with lots of rich history and everyone watches it. This is certainly a significant car of the era and I can see it being accepted globally. I would think that the prices will be all over the board on this kit depending on where you purchase it. As someone already mentioned the kit is on pre-sale with a lower price. Maybe Hobby Lobby will get them in too, and we can see 40% off coupons, doubtful though. Anyway, I like the appeal of the kit. I'm skeptical of the price but I would certainly pick one up for under $200. Chris -
That looks great! Nice clean paint. I do like the wheels too. It gives it a bit of a tougher look. Nice work! Chris

1/16 scale Koenig Speiclas Ferrari models?

Those Revell Premium kits are sweet but spendy. I'm still looking for an 850i. Hopefully with the re-issue of the M-B 560 SEC we'll see the other premium kits come out. Chris -

As I mentioned earlier and at other sites I think the on-line dealers will have some more or better affordable pricing. Quite honestly I just want one. I may not build it, but I'll certainly enjoy groking it every month. Bill, thanks for the pictures. I like what I see but will save my dribble until we can get a view of everything. The positive thing is that at least there is a test shot so we know the tooling is there. I don't suspect it will be this year though. I could be wrong. Chris -
Yeah, No engine. Curbside. I can't comment on how the two are to build though. However if it builds anything like my 575M then I'm all the way down for the Fujimi. I've run into some fit issues with RoG kits. Not enough to deter me though. Huh, I guess I did buy the Revell USA kit. Which by the way is molded in white. My RoG kit looks exactly the same as yours. Fujimi's kit is molded in red. Chris

I look forward to your build! I have this as well as the Fujimi kit. Keep us updated! Chris

Nice work on a labor intensive decal car. The best part of your build is being able to learn something, and this one was decals for you. I'll bet that your next build will be awesome just as this is. I love that Vette. I've got the decals and the SMS kit, so it's nice to see everyone building these. I can hurdle faster this way! LOL Great Job! Chris

1/16 scale Koenig Speiclas Ferrari models?
crispy replied to FujimiLover's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yes, yes they do accept pay-pal. In fact they prefer pay-pal. You must have had some problems logging in or when you got to the cart you didn't hit the right button. Anyway, yeah, they do accept pay-pal. I do have the Fujimi Koenig Lamborghini Countach, one of the first 1/16 scale kits I picked up way back when. Haven't built it yet, just waiting for old age and time. Should be fun. Chris -
That is a nice clean build. Nothing new to you Brian! Nice job. Chris

I would think that with Auto-world/Round 2 leasing the tools and Tom Lowe(former head of Polar lights and other entities) at the helm we may see these get re-issued at some point. But to answer the question, yes these have been oop for some time. Chris

I wanted one. The price makes me not want one though. I was expecting at least $175 or so for the kit, not nearly $260. A great piece of subject matter for sure and the sheer size of it will make it a kit worthy of details. I'd really love to support this kit, but with three kids and college looming I'll have to save my play money for quite sometime. Chris -
Yes, keep going! That is looking sweet! I've got the SMS kit as well and am just waiting for the right time and by right time I mean when I think my skills are there. It looks great so far. Chris

Absolutely beautiful build David. You would never know you had any problems, it's that nice. Chris

Marc, That sure turned out sweet! Good Luck at the show! Chris
