  1. I have to echo all the comments here. To actually see the build in the flesh would be absolutely amazing. David, absolutely stunning build. Chris
  2. I have a hard time believing that. Only time will tell, but he needs to grow up and not be so wreck-less with everyone. I mean it's definitely something to shoot for. Chris
  3. For your first attempt I think you did extremely well. They both look great. Are you planning on adding an R-34 as well as the new one? With each new build you are only going to get better, and your paint jobs look pretty good already. Keep at it! Chris
  4. Dave, That is AWESOME! I would have never thought of mixing the two together like that. You make it work so seamlessly. Any idea on colors? Forgive me if you've mentioned it as I only read the last page. Fantastic work! Chris
  5. Yeah, I think you nailed it. The tires look great on it. That's how I see a lot of them these days, with that slick on the back. Good Job! Chris
  6. I'm really surprised Elmer's would mess a model up since it's water wash-up because it should work. I use Formula 560. Stronger than Elmer's but also water cleanup if need be. Chris
  7. That is very cool. Smooth. Chris
  8. OK Peter, that made me laugh. No worries, I ordered one too. Chris
  9. 1/20 Ferrari 248F1 Brazil Grand Prix 2006 Code: FUJ09041 Series: GP (Grand Prix) http://www.hlj.com/product/FUJ09041 Chris
  10. No doubt, you never see these things built. Nice work! Chris
  11. This was something brought up by Ferrari as far as box art goes through Tamiya. Their is no difference between the first issue and the new black box issues. Chris
  12. I do the same thing Peter does. No matter the type of body color or type of plastic I spray primer on it. Not only will this provide adhesion for the paint but you can also look for imperfections in the body such as mold lines and sink marks. If you just want to spray the body then you'd be best advised to use a spray designed for the models themselves. Tamiya and Testors come to mind initially. If you plan on airbrushing the car then primer is a must. Most of the time the guys here that are airbrushing are using a much hotter lacquer designed for automotive use. However with that said you could also decant your spray paint for airbrushing. Good Luck! Chris
  13. And here I thought it was going to be a new girlfriend. Chris
  14. I have to agree with the others, the paint turned out perfect. It looks like a well taken care of K100 that works. Beautifully done! Chris
  15. Really nice build! Now it needs to get working! Chris
  16. Joe, Here is the link to the SE wheels. SE Ltd. wheel page Great wheels at a great price. Although the sizes aren't listed and its been at least 6 years or so since I bought them. Generally designed for fit in 1/24, 1/25 scale. The model was actually the MPC Sundancer 69 Firebird Convertible. I believe it was 1/25th. Anyway, GOOD LUCK! Chris
  17. Thanks Ed. It wasn't quite complete at the time of the picture. My buddy was always wanting updates. He was really happy with it when I finally gave it to him. I actually bought the Sundancer kit for him as a Christmas gift. A few years later I got it back with all the paint and what not. It was fun. To me the wheels turned out the best. Thanks! Chris
  18. I used the S.E. Limited resin wheels with the chrome trim rings and was really impressed with them. I painted them to match my buddies 1:1 car. Here they are on the model: I have no problem recommending these wheels. Chris
  19. That looks great! I like that style of Kenworth too. Chris
  20. I have a dedicated room in the basement. The workbench goes 3/4 the way around. Plenty of workspace right? Nope, Always could use more. I have a spare room connected to the workshop that will eventually get done as my Room of Zoom. Here's a few pictures of my area: Model kit storage runs around the same length as the workbench and underneath the bench as well. The one thing I can't stress enough is to make sure you have enough light and outlets. Chris
  21. I get into planes and jets. Stuff I like. I also build modern armor vehicles in 1/72 scale. My son is really big into WWII stuff and we'll sometimes build stuff together, his German mine US. It's fun to build and watch with him as he is learning the process. Chris
  22. Looking good Tonio! Would have never thought of that color for the Gallardo. The wheels look right on it too. Great work! Chris
  23. Thanks guys! I appreciate the kind words. I've said it before, I sell and accommodate exactly the way I would like to be treated. It's not hard to check out a kit and give an honest description. It's not hard to pack and ship either. Friendly emails and working with the buyer/seller is paramount. I know not all have that philosophy, but those that do make trading/buying, especially at emodlecars, FUN! Now, with that I have a few things for Gregg to check out. When I send an invoice I get an error message instead of a confirmation that the invoice was sent, although the invoice does get sent according to my list of items. Not sure how you have it directly working with pay-pal but I find that the guys who pay via pay-pal never have there address inserted into the payment. I have to manually type that all in and then I am able to print the shipping label. I know I have a few more things to bring up, but right now those are the two major ones. As far as sales go on the site for me, I've been doing perfectly fine. Maybe one to two kits a week or so sell. I get many questions on items and am happy to answer any and all. I enjoy emodelcars and hope the traffic and more sellers come along. I see the site is about to top 300 registered bidders now. Chris
  24. Updated and added a few more items. Please check them out!(first post has direct link) Chris
  25. I like that! Something different! Good job Chris
