  1. Brendan keep us updated. I look forward to seeing you build and complete this. Chris
  2. Dave, I vote for the stripe as well. It is an FXX after all. Ultimately in the end it's really up to you. How do you want it to look? Chris
  3. I've done a few orders from then with no problems whatsoever. A+ from me. Chris
  4. Chuck that is cool! Can't think of a better guy to get it. Chris
  5. Dave I can already see that this will be a phenomenal build! Absolutely fantastic decal work. As was mentioned earlier your decal and clear are masterpieces. You are a braver man than I at attempting that. I'm excited to see this finished! Chris
  6. He's usually on here. I've been hoping he would post his Inca Gold Charger over here. That thing is SWEET! Anyway you can reach him via this email: mpcmotorsports@yahoo.com Chris
  7. Erik, I love the little details! The plate and the sticker on the back window is very cool. Nice little details. Chris
  8. Beautiful car and you did it justice. I'm still scared of the EM kits, but have them and when I feel ready will dive into one. Erik, the only thing I have to comment about though are the panel lines. To me they look a little dark. Other than that I think it looks great! I believe yours is the first I have seen with the exposed headlights. Most of the time they are left as the flip ups. That sets it apart for sure. Again, Great Job! Chris
  9. I'm not impressed with it at all. First look reminded me of the concept car. To me this is going backwards a bit. I do think there are a few cues that are nice. Granted it does look tougher from the front, must be why they have a plethora of frontal pictures. Sadly it looks like it will blend in with everything else out there now. As far as GM is concerned the Camaro is too little too late. Why oh Why do they have to wait so loooooooong to give the public a car? It reminds me of the SSR. When that truck was introduced people were oohing and ahhing over it. Then after what, 3 -4 years they finally release it to really dismal sales. I don't think the Camaro will be like that but they are losing customers over it I'm sure. Everything "new" is so bland these days. Chris
  10. I'm anal about my paint. Have gotten to be in the last year. I wet-sand every single coat I can with exception to pearls and metallics. This includes primer coats. I do not go through every polishing cloth on the primer coats. I stick with one to smooth the primer out as needed. I then move up a grit when I hit the color coats and stay that way until I finally get it the way I want. After clearing I go through the last few cloths. I find I get a deeper brighter color. This takes longer but works for me. Like has been mentioned, everyone has there own technique that works for them. I find I am always trying something new. Chris
  11. I would have never known it was the Revell kit. Just as the others have said, Simply Beautiful. Chris
  12. Steve, don't forget to order your almond green from Jameston at Scalefinishes! Please post pics of the contents. Not sure if I'm ready to lay down the cash for such kits, but I love seeing you guys work on them. LOL Chris
  13. I have to work!! I'll be getting home just as it ends. And yes, I have to work when the re-play comes on Wednesday! GRRRR.. I was excited due to the many possibilities and the fact that the other guys would like to see Massa pull it off. IT should be a very exciting race for sure. Chris
  14. WOW! Love it! Those dog dishes really make it for me. Great job! Chris
  15. Look at that red paint just ooze all over. Fantastic work once again David! Chris
  16. No doubt Steve, Take Ismael for the words. I do that even with the styrene kits I do. Especially when you start hacking stuff. I'm jealous. I too look forward to your build on this. I've seen one other one built and it was beautiful. Just take your time, don't rush and have fun. Chris
  17. Just a note to let you guys know I've added more listings. Check'em out! I've been selling a kit or two a week there so it does work. Chris

    Shelby Cobra

I really like the way this looks. It's different than what you normally see. Great job! Chris
  19. Aaron, good call on the dates. I normally run my auctions for a week(7 days) and the way Gregg has it set up you can automatically have it re list your auctions if they don't sell. I run my re-list 10 times and as they get close to ending I just go back in and change it. I've since offered buy out and swap on some of the auctions. Glad to see some people over there. I plan on listing a lot more stuff there later. Chris
  20. Nothing here either. I even checked the spam filter and nothing.
  21. I want to thank Rey for all his help so far. I'm getting there Rey! Been working on this off and on. Ran into a bunch of disappointing problems concerning the body. Of course one cut here one cut there and then a mess of styrene all over. Fujimi really screwed the pooch on this particular "Challenge" body. It appears they threw whatever available bodies they had left in this short run kit. Instead of throwing another $30 on a correct Challenge kit I decided to utilize my "modeling" skills. Or better yet, see what skills I have acquired. What was going to be a box stock build, straight from the box if you will, has turned into a full blown detail mess now. Anyway, Fuel filler door filled. New fuel filler holes drilled on each side of the body. Rear bumper cut off and re-sized to accommodate the correct Challenge rear tail light section. Cut out the engine window vents. Drilled holes for the exhaust tips. Here's the car I'm trying to replicate: Here's where I'm at on the kit: So, that's where it sits now. Be back on it on Tuesday again. Chris
  22. Dave, Thanks. I'm an idiot. I have the kit and forgot they were in there! Thanks for the answers. Chris
  23. Here's a tutorial I bookmarked from another message board. It'll work for chrome trim too I suppose. However, If you are doing chrome trim have you tried anything similar to bare metal foil? Link: http://www.automotiveforums.com/vbulletin/t93656.html Chris
  24. Another grand slam build David! Beautiful. What CF decals did you utilize? And, after you applied them, it appears that you clear coated them, if so what did you use? I have to admit I was sneaking peeks at your fotki while you were building this. The build process alone was worth watching. Chris
  25. Hey thanks guys! I appreciate the feedback. I try to run the auctions and ship the stuff as soon as I am paid. Just like how I would like to be treated. Gregg has a great site with emodelcars.com. Free and easy to use. Chris
