  1. Nice work! I like your wheel choice. Looks great! Chris
  2. Just one time I would love to hear a rumor about a new tool coming out that wasn't of a car from 40, 50, 60 years ago. I know my opinion is different from a lot of the folks on this and other boards, but I know if they release anything that's rumored here I'll be giving the Japanese even more money. I'd love to hear about a Lotus Exige, McLaren F1 road car, Bugatti Veyron, Koenigsegg. I would even be happy about hearing of a domestic item that's not real mainstream yet popular, like a Saturn Sky, Pontiac Solstice, Pontiac's Australian G8, and even a Jeep of some sort! I'm still happy to see what gets released and of course I let my wallet do my talking. Like I said it's not a very popular opinion, but we need some new life. I know there are a few others that feel the same way, but it's hard to voice your opinion when it is not the majority. Until then, I'll just wait and see what's coming. Chris
  3. I would certainly agree with that as well. Just make sure with those aerosols to do a few light mist coats before you do any heavy wet coats. From experience if you apply to much to soon it will pull away from any panel lines. Especially those candy style paints. Patience will be the key here. Good Luck and I hope you'll show us a few shots! By The Way, Welcome to the board! Chris
  4. Len! I was actually surprised it has taken you this long to make it here. I wish I could confer about the race but I had to work and I'll be working during the replay as well. Thanks for the news guys. Chris
  5. That Brookfield stuff has always been great. They really had some nice stuff out. It's a shame Action bought them. Your collection is growing quickly Ismael! Chris
  6. Wow, that is super clean and has the "look". Reminds me of the cars we see here. Great job! Chris
  7. Nice clean build! Looks good. I have that in my to do list as well. Just mulling over the colors I want to use. That's the toughest part for me right now. Thanks for sharing. Chris
  8. Mike, that is killer! Killer base for a killer bike! Great builds on both! LOL Chris
  9. Nice looking bike Mike! Great job with the decals too! I have the Ducati Desmosedici and it looks intimidating just sitting in the box. However, one day I will brave it. Again, great build. Chris
  10. Steef, you may not have a lot of time and that's fine, but please keep us updated on your progress. I'm like anyone else that likes Ferrari's and this, to me, is Ferrari's best. Of course my most favorite too. That box art is frameable for sure. Chris
  11. Is that a Greenlight Collectible Ismael? They have some good stuff, but that is the one pet-peeve I have with their new Corvettes, the headlights. Chris
  12. Thanks guys! Glad I could elicit some emotions from you. I was an impressionable 15 year old and have always loved these cars. I plan on looking for a nice unmolested one once my boys leave home. Thanks again. Chris
  13. wha..... where? But the bunny, what about the bunny?
  14. So, listening to Hank Williams, thinking about my last girlfriend and my health while hoping my dead dog comes back because of what the democrats did to him aren't allowed on here? Shoot.... Hey, has anyone seen the bunny I posted about in other pointless threads? He's not been near the squirrel as of late.... I'm beginning to worry. I spotted no bunny today. Chris
  15. I've had this kit longer than my wife and kids. Finally took the time to build it. This was my most favorite 3rd gen and so I built it in the launch colors. Or, how I would have purchased a real one had I the money. TS-14 Black, TS13-Clear on body TS-46 Sand interior with Testor's tan flocking. My how I have forgotten how bad the decals were back in the day. Lots of milky film and thick. Since the decals have been drying some of them have wrinkled a bit. I hope to get them to lay down with some Micro set. Lots of different glues to hold this thing together because unbeknown to me the body had a slight warp as did the front and rear window. Epoxy is holding the front window and then CA glue to hold the rear taillight/bumper to the car. Here are a couple of pics: More of the build can be seen here: Monogram 1985 Trans Am Back to exotics.... Chris
  16. That looks great! You don't see a lot of those built. Really like the colors on it. Chris
  17. Red Ferrari's are so cliche. With that said, the earth tone Ferrari's are reaching that status though too. I'm interested to see what the color looks like. Did you do a wash on the wheels? They look different. Chris
  18. LOL, I built one too and oddly enough used the tips from Ismael as well as Bill. I built the Z06. Just click on the Z06 and you can see the car. Chris
  19. That's so cool Ismael. I've given my son my other digital camera just this year and he's taken some very great shots. It was impressive and surprising. I think as adults we think to hard about getting the shot just right. The kids, they point shoot and have fun. Chris
  20. Dave, no problem. If you click on my link in my signature you can access the photo's at my Fotki. You can also get much bigger pictures there too, this way you can see the details much better. Glad I could help. Chris
  21. Another F1 lover here. Tifosi fan to boot. I was certainly hoping for Kimi to pull number 4 and the rain made it very exciting and had me on my feet. Back and forth until Kimi met with disaster. I've always liked Kimi even at McLaren. He's very quiet and monotone and his actions speak on the circuit. Although this year they match his attitude. I've been wondering what has been going on with him and the cars. I've heard he is not happy with the set-ups he has been given. I'd hate to see him go, but then, if the driver and the team aren't happy it would be best. I also agree with everyone about the talent Hamilton has, but he's also a bit arrogant. Maybe the success so soon got to his head. He's made small mistakes throughout the year and will certainly make more. Remember his Chinese GP race last year? I'm looking forward to this night race and the last 5 races. F1 has been much more exciting than NASCAR has been for sure. As Greg mentioned the commentator crew does an excellent job with the calls. Certainly have a deep affectionate love for the job and racing and it shows each race as well as on their F1 review shows. Chris P.S. I forgot to add what you guys thought about Bernie's tip toe around a US GP event? He sure didn't answer or should I say give anything away.
  22. Another nice one Sully! Chris
  23. That is nice! I hope these photo's can help. Here's the car in 2006: And in 2007: Look forward to you finishing it! Chris
  24. I agree, the bright paint asks for chrome wheels. I like the gunmetal center idea someone came up with, but I think it would detract from the look of this particular build. Please don't leave us hanging like you did with the 68, I really like to see this one finished! Chris
  25. Nice choice Marc! How many sets did you go through before you settled on these? LOL I know what kind of wheel collection you have. Chris
