I use Tamiya Primer as well as Plasti-Kote primer. If you have an automotive paint jobber around your town you may be able to find Plasti-kote T-237(gray). Black and white are also available. I'm not into primer through the airbrush either, but with specific paint I try to keep it all in the family if I can. Chris

Looks great Michael! I took this pic in '06: Look forward to seeing it completed! Chris

The 250 looks like a pretty nice kit, but again, something about it stops me from buying it. Although, Bob, as you stated, put me down for a 275. I would really like to see that manufactured. I love the styling and look of that car. As for the California Spyder, I still hold my reservations. I need more pictures to comment. I like the front styling, but again, something about the car I am unsure of. Chris

That'll buff right out.... Fujimi 356 needs some bodywork

Sounds like someones going to make lemonade. What a mess. I bought a a Mercedes Lorinser kit through ebay and what arrived was an open box with flat pieces of model. Body, windows, interior all junk. It looked like the UPS truck ran it over. I was able to get my money back and purchase another kit. Not sure what I'll ever do with the other one, but I didn't have it in me to throw any of it away. Never know, I might be able to use something from it! LOL Good Luck with whatever you do. Chris -
Dave, this thing is so cool I shot Jada an email. Sent a link to one of your pictures too. I haven't heard anything ,but I hope someone from their site looks at it and sees the kind of work being done with their kits. Basically hoping they can continue to pump out some plastic and be a contender. Your build really is something to look at. Great artistic work. Chris

That is an awesome watercolor! WOW! I love it. I'm a huge 2nd gen fan as well having owned a 73 and 74 SD-455 along with a 72 Lucerne Blue 455 4 spd car. I've also owned a 76 and 79 Trans Am. I'm 2nd genless now, but with three boys and life. I'll have to wait. Great painting! I think you could probably sell a few of those if you were able to lithograph them or something similar. Chris

EXTRA, EXTRA - Just Announced....

I hate to say this but. I am definitely not a fan of Kyle Bush, downright dislike him. However, with that said, he definitely has some talent. He needs to grow up and learn respect. I fear a big accident with him is the only way he'll learn. Can't deny the talent though. Chris -
WOW! Look what I got!

That is cool! You're a lucky guy! I hope that if you get Schumey's you'll post that up. Just too cool Ismael! Chris -
If you could only choose ONE photo of any of your builds, wich would it be?

One of my favorite builds and probably the best picture I have taken. It looks almost real. Chris -
I suspect the reason we have a separate grille is due to the KR coming out. Interchangeable. Hopefully they read this board and not just the SH board and get the right feedback for wheels and tires. Thanks for your insight on this Bob and Chuck! Chris

Nice work Brendan! Really clean and it looks like you fixed the problems that you had with it. I'm really digging these Porsche's. I've seen a few being built and it has me wanting one. Thanks for sharing. Chris

Thanks Bill. Glad you liked them. I'm not sure about the AMX, but the guy that had that had all the other AMC products there as well. He also has a couple in progress. He's a Jeep Dealer so my guess is the possibility of that AMX being what it is, is pretty good. Top notch stuff he has, all of it. Chris

Beautiful day in Minnesota Sunday. Headed to New Ulm, MN. for their I believe 28th annual Autofest. Great show that has a little bit of everything. Model contest was held again this year for the second time and the numbers were lower than last year. I hope they can continue to bring more models in the coming years. Here's a few pics with a link to my album at the bottom. About 255 photo's at my MY FOTKI. Enjoy! Chris

Nice clean work! I actually had a dream about this model kit last night while laying in bed. I guess I was trying to figure out what kit to start next. Anyway, beautiful build. Clean work and a nice model. Chris

I wouldn't expect anything less from you Ismael! Nice and clean, a stunning save. Chris

Clay, those are located in the adhesive aisle at Michael's. Near the paints and clay.

I have to agree with everyone else here. Your patience paid off and you came out with a really nice clean build. Looks great! Chris

Yes, you are correct. I should add that I actually unwind the floss to the specified thickness I desire. I believe it is stranded 4 to 6 thick. Chris
-
I used what they call floss as piping. It's super cheap and if done correctly can give you the look you want. Their are 100's of colors. I use Canopy 560 glue and apply to the seat itself. It dries clear and hard. The trick is cutting it extra long and then being able to hide the ends. A flat clear also helps with this. Here is my Miami Vice Spyder with brown piping floss. Chris

Been off-line a week, however, you really nailed it David! It's gorgeous! Thanks for sharing the build up of it as well. Chris
