  1. Brendan, Absolutely fantastic build. Great work. Your paint impresses me as far as your mix of pink primer. Looks like Studio 27 could add a little more opaqueness to the white number decal. Always fun to see your builds! Chris
  2. Nice! Is this the pre-painted one by Tamiya? Chris
  3. Nice work! I have this kit as well. Again, as was mentioned the decals scare me too. However with what you said, maybe it won't be so bad. Keep those racers coming! You've got a nice little collection coming along. Chris
  4. Nice job! What kit did you use? I have the Tein Sport Corolla WRC from Hasegawa that I built a few years ago. Really got me interested in the cars and building them. Anyway, looks great! Chris
  5. Jameston, she looks great! Just one thing, the pictures, every time I click on each pic I get the same picture. the one with the hood open. No big deal, I'll just peruse your fotki. Nice work, look forward to your other Mustang's! Chris
  6. hemi, have you thought about trying to purchase one of those Visa gift cards? Works just like a credit card only you purchase the amount you want on it. That should work. Should be able to find them at Wal-Mart for sure. Just a suggestion. Chris
  7. Fantastic! I asked for a sub to MCM for Christmas as well. Guess what, my family listens, but got me the wrong sub!!! I'll be getting a year of that other mag..... How hard can it be to see that the card was already pre-filled out and left on my desk??? Well, I can hope for my birthday. Glad to hear you got one though! Chris
  8. WOW! Those colors look great together. Better than I had pictured. Keep'em coming Jameston. Chris
  9. That's looking good! I still have to get one of those kits. One of my favorite KW's! Chris
  10. Nice Job Randy! Exactly the same reason I built one, just mean looking. Chris
  11. Bob, I would have to agree that the Alfa 8C Competizione would be a much much better kit to have. That is a gorgeous car. Curves, looks, sound, it has it all. As much as I would love to see this kitted you are right, it won't be due to the Ferrari name. I wish the companies would just take a chance on a few new tool type kits that I think would do well. So many things you could do with the 8C. After seeing some video of one on you-tube I was hooked. Chris
  12. Very nice! Seeing it built makes me want one. I remember having a slot car of that. Great work as usual Curt! Chris
  13. Jameston--What color did you use on the chassis? Work looks great. I'm digging the chassis detail as well. Chris

That Nova is friggin sweet! I love the wrinkle walls. That alone sets it off for me. Nice work for '08! Chris
  15. That is a tough loaded question because each marque has its pluses and minuses. If I were to rank them now, today it would be a hard toss up: Tamiya/Fujimi Aoshima Tamiya isn't really doing a whole lot car wise as of late, and what they have been coming out with is a bit more simplified than in the past. Not a bad thing, but not Tamiya either. Although Tamiya kits are engineered very well and go together without a hitch. The proportions are pretty darn accurate too. Just not as much coming from them as I would like to see. Fujimi has really been coming on strong in my opinion. It used to be hit and miss with them but it appears quality control and design has really gone through the roof. They produce a lot more kits of stuff that I enjoy, mainly exotics, but they to are simplified but they make up for that in most cases with accuracy and proportions. Still not quite as engineered as I think Tamiya are. Still I find I have more Fujimi kits than Tamiya. Aoshima kits are fun, meaning that they come out with some off the wall stuff you wouldn't get anywhere else, I like that they take a chance. I believe there assets are the wheel kits and nice looking body proportions. I don't think they are engineered as the other two. Although the finished product always looks good. Like I mentioned they all have there pros and cons. It really boils down to what you are interested in and what kind of details you are looking for. I buy what fits for me and enjoy building them no matter who the manufacturer. A prime example of this is the Nissan GT-R. Each company has one. Each is different and unique in its own right. I know a few guys have each one so they could do there own evaluation. Each one has good points and bad. In the end you get to pick and happily there is a choice available to you. These are my opinions only, they may not reflect yours and I encourage the constructive criticism. Chris
  16. I've used him about a handful of times and have nothing but good things to say about his service. I did receive one package that when opened was Bad Boy yellow on the inside. I took a picture and sent it to him and received all new items within the week. So yes, good service, but as Bob mentioned you can look a little harder and find stuff here in the US with cheaper shipping. But I do echo Bob's sentiments with Scalefinishes as well as Strada. Both offer just as great service here in the US. Chris
  17. I'm looking forward to the California as well, although I think I'll wait and see if Fujimi decides to tool one up. My personal opinion of the car, it's horrid in red. The car looks so much better in deeper metallic colors. I know Bob has disdain with it. I've read a few articles about it, perused more pictures and it has grown on me. Anyway, we'll wait and see if Fujimi ponies up or if I'll have to go through Revell for one, or two I suppose. Chris
  18. That's nice. I really like how clean it is. Great work Lyle! Chris
  19. That looks great! I really like those old Kenworth's. What about the three axle gravel trailer by AMT? Anyway, looks great, keep them coming! Chris
  20. That gave me the "whoa" factor. Very cool. Great work and execution. It looks really clean for a tow truck! Great job! Chris
  21. Looking good Brendan! I absolutely love your pedal though. I'm going to bet it's better than the P.E. supplied piece was! Keep the updates coming. You are certainly moving along on this one! Chris
  22. While I agree some changes were needed I will disagree with a few of them. Just like anyone else. I don't have a problem with the fees either, but rather on the fees incurred on specific payments. I'd certainly love to hear what you guys have to say when pay-pal holds your money for 21 days and YOU have to ship the item and make sure the buyer is happy before your funds are released to you. That means money out of your own pocket. Shipping an item without having money in hand? When was this ok to do? By now you're probably thinking this happened to me. It hasn't, but it is something that could happen to any one of us. At first it was just holds on questionable electronics then all of a sudden pay-pal got the power and decided to randomly hold money on ALL items they felt were questionable. Sure it's all fine and dandy when as a seller things go your way, but just wait until they don't. Has it helped weed out buyers and sellers? Yes I do think it has, but in the same regard its made it harder for others to sell and or buy as well. It truly has turned into a buyers market on ebay because of this. Yet, the ebay seller is ebay's customer. Backwards? IMO, yes. I do like having pay-pal as an option to pay, but I also like to be able to offer my buyers other options as well. I've never had a problem with money orders in over 10 years. One problem with a personal check in that same time frame. I think some more changes are needed, but I'm still able to work with these and until change happens I'll keep going business as usual. Chris
  23. Ohhhh, and here I thought you were promoting emodlecars.com Sorry Chris
  24. That looks pretty good! I like the individual numbering on the chassis. I look forward to the other colors as well. So, gonna take it apart and re-work it??? LOL
  25. I have to echo everyone else's sentiments. Nice job! One of my favorite classic Ferrari's. Chris
