A few pictures of the Model Car Storage
crispy replied to Lyn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yep, I can see where it would be overwhelming. That's a lot of stuff. That would be fun to go through, but if you're not a modeler I can see it being a little tougher. Keep at it Lyn! Chris -
Mines built. In anticipation of the Pontiac build. Chris

Nice work! I'm not a huge fan of that era in Corvette's. But the lines of this car make up for the wheezy engine. You did a great job on the model. Is your real car white too? My eyes and this computer show sort of a cream like color. Anyway, great job. I like them both! Chris

As usual the weather on top of the parking ramp was warm. Not as bad as some years, but it was a nice day. My son had a little medical emergency while we were looking at cars and he's all good now. Too much heat for him. Doctor's still don't know what does it. Anyway, Once again the finest Muscle cars you can feast your eyes on in the Midwest are here. Of course here are a few samples: All 350 pictures located at MY FOTKI Chris

I've never had low memory but have had scripts stop running on weatherbug, otherwise no problems here either. -
Update on selling the Model Collection
crispy replied to Lyn's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Lyn, glad to hear it is going well and is fun. Wish I were local to help you out. I think it would be fun to just look at all of it. I've been keeping an eye on your stuff too. Just haven't found anything I need, or shall I say want? LOL Yah, ebay and pay-pal fees take a lot more than they used to now. For every $100 you make they get about $25 of it. Good Luck to you. That's just plain NICE. Chris -
Beautiful work on the hood! I love those 70-73 Firebird/Trans Am's, having owned a few myself. Drink a red bull and get back to work on that! Chris

That is looking sweet! I have a Novitec in white I want to build. Can't wait to see yours finished. vizio--I think the flash or light did that to the paint. Chris

Felipe Massa Crash Hungary
crispy replied to eburg_Dub's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
WOW, what a shame. Hopefully he's ok. Watching that vid his foot didn't even leave the gas. Hard impact. Chris -
Dave, if you want to get your feet wet in building a Ferrari kit may I suggest Fujimi's newer kits. They go together with ease and really look the part. The Revell of Germany kits are good, but a little tougher, IMO, to build up. I just think you'll have more fun with a Fujimi build versus a RoG one. I've overcome the Ferrari red problem, just paint them every other color! LOL Chris

Added! Thanks Gregg! Chris

I really like that. It looks natural. Colors look great too. I love your wheel choice, fills the holes well. Chris

It looks good from here! Perfect for the shelf I'm sure. LOL It's always nice to have something built that's not real mainstream. Anyway, you got it looking great. Chris

Aoshima may make something close to those rims. Finding them or finding someone to part with them may be the bigger problem. I post these to help you try to find what you need. It looks like they are pretty close to the Bersaglio spoke II. Good Luck! Chris

Hi gang, As the emodelcars.com cheerleader I thought I would pop in and give you all an update. We've had a nice steady number of around 100 auctions going for quite sometime. At one point we had hit over 300 items. There are now over 600 registered users. Things have picked up quite nicely but more could be buying and selling and for free! There is a nice selection of kits, built, resin, how to books on modeling, and back issues of magazines. Also have a few non model related items floating around there too. I'm glad to see some postings here weekly on trading and swapping. You can also add these to emodelcars.com. I'm hoping everyone will take a look and see what's going on. Maybe try to sell something or even buy something. As I mentioned, selling items on emodelcars.com is free with exception to adding listing upgrades, and then they only cost $1. Subsequent re-listings using those same upgrades are only 75 cents after that. Here is a link to what's running at emodelcars.com See ya there! Chris

Posting photos... and taking the heat...
crispy replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Beautiful and agreeable commentary. I cannot agree more. With that said, I love posting pictures of stuff I have done. I want to see the pictures on the computer because I myself can see the flaws better to fix. If anyone feels the need, I certainly appreciate constructive criticism in a tactful manner. The internet does not offer a way to interpret inflections, emotions and the like. It comes down to how you've written what you want to say and how the poster perceives that. Chris -
Not many '10's around here. Saw one drive away from a car show the other day. As for the Camaro, the road presence is huge. You can see something coming down the highway and as it gets closer you have a hard time looking at the road waiting for it to go by. The Camaro does have that road presence. I like it. I've seen Silver, Black and 2 Orange SS's. Ismael took some pictures of a black and red SS, that is cool! Chris

2010 Camaro SS
crispy replied to ismaelg's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
Beautiful pictures Ismael! I really liked that first one as I noted in your album yesterday. I hope they call you when they get a ZR1 in! Chris -
Nathan that looks great. Nice and clean and will look great on your shelf. I hope to one day get all of the Days of Thunder cars to build and display. I too liked that movie. Just not actively searching for them yet. Although I have noticed they bring a little bit more money than regular NASCAR kits do right now. Chris
