  1. Good Job! A kit with that many decals will scare anyone! You did a nice job. Chris
  2. Lyn, you've been doing a good job with your auctions. I check them every evening. I try to help when I can and as all the other guys said am willing to help if you ask. I also agree, keep one of those kits that are open and build it. Just have fun with it, knowing full well that Dad would be proud. Chris
  3. I have to agree with everyone else. This is a nice clean build of a very sexy Mercedes. One of my favorites too. Thanks for sharing. Chris
  4. That is WICKED COOL! I've never seen a Firebird look like that. I like it! Chris
  5. That was a great race with GT2. The corvette looked a little slower in the corners. I think if Jan had not defended and the 430 got in front that would have been the end. Great race and am glad to see some competition. Chris
  6. They are great! I like them better than HLJ simply because pricing is a bit better and you collect points to redeem against future purchases. They ship just as quick as HLJ does. Customer service is very good as well. I've pretty well switched all my Japanese buying to them now. Chris
  7. The Fiats were cute. I suspect I saw you if you were riding your bikes. I saw many people and I'm sure you wre one of them. You make about the 4th person I missed at the show. I ran into some friends I knew, but not the internet friends I've been hoping to meet. My first outing to Cars & Cafe will be Sept. 5th. I have a family reunion to go to and thought an early jaunt to Chanhassen would be fun and then back to my parents place. I'll be there. Chris
  8. What a fantastic day. For a change my sons and wife came with me and I had THE greatest time. Perfect weather, perfect company, perfect cars. Here's a smidge of what I took with more at my link of course. There was of course a huge selection of other fine automobiles scattered through out the parking lots that I shot as well. All 267 pictures can be found at MY FOTKI Chris
  9. Marc not have those wheels! HA, surely you jest! Really though, if he hasn't got them I'll be happy to post my set after I get back from the car show. Marc, you are the supreme wheel slut... My measly collection just cannot compare. Chris

    Porsche 911 GT2

    Very Nice! Chris
  11. As Marc mentioned the Pegasus tires work perfectly on them if need be. I'm surprised they didn't offer the wider tire, but it bothers me not. And Folks, Marc has THE tire and wheel stash you can only dream of having. I'm getting closer with over 50 plus sets, but Marc's got some stuff that isn't made anymore. Gotta get these wheels when they are released or you could miss out and I can guarantee when the Aoshima wheels are gone they are GONE! Chris
  12. Nice Novitec F430 Linetex! Love their style and power. You've done a nice job. Thanks for sharing your build with us! I hope to see more in the future. Chris
  13. Great pictures Marc! If you got yours today I am sure to have mine tomorrow! I'm very excited! Thanks for sharing! Chris
  14. Hey Dave, not raining on your parade here. But, all of these posts and not one single person has shown us any innards. I'm sure to have mine next week, but it seems like a huge secret, or everyone's camera broke! LOL Glad you got one. I look forward to mine. Chris
  15. That's an eye catcher linetex, for sure. Really looks good. Chris
  16. These came out before I started building. However, I've always liked the look/style of the Rommel's Rod and have pre-ordered one for myself. No nostalgia involved. Just cool in my opinion. Chris
  17. That looks great. That stance is perfect. It may be the wrong color, but it fits and looks the part. Hope you'll share the 500 build with us as well. Chris
  18. linetex, that little bit of p.e. can really liven up the interior. That looks great. Chris
  19. That looks great! Stance and colors are perfect. Nice work! Chris
  20. Very Cool stuff for sure! I just got the Mercedes myself. You are right, gorgeous kit. A bit on the fragile side but should look splendid when finished. I plan on building it and the SLR as a duo. Chris
  21. Remember Thunderbolt & Lightfoot? That was an odd shaker combo! And the hawgman is right. Your car looks really nice. That paint looks great. Are you going with those wheels or going with the rally rims? Chris
  22. Thanks for posting that Bob. Here's what I got from Eric: If you need to see it in bigger better form: Eric Cole's paint/decal method When you get to the picture just click on Get Original uploaded photo. Chris
  23. Your best bet would be to try and match the stripe to some paint. I know the stripe and the shaker aren't truly going to match in any event. There was a builder here on the forum that painted his decals the same color as his shaker so he could be sure to get the right match. I asked him to go into detail about what he did and how he did it. If I get the chance today I'll go through my 3 ring binder of modeling tips and scan it for you. I would think that would be the best solution's as far as matching the stripe to the shaker. Chris
