  1. I would hate to come up against you in a competition, . That merc is wicked, the frenched headlights, 54 chevy grille, louvered hood, lakepipes, fender skirts, the amazing flathead, and of coarse the top chop. You said it was chopped the Traditional way, so is this the AMT kit?
  2. WOW!!! Look great. the orange looks good.
  3. Look sweet.
  4. Sweetness, an "old school" Monster. I remember that kit. MPC, I believe. My father kitbashed the body with an SS Camino to build a base model El Camino.
  5. That looks great. I thought the 1:1 where toys, . Seriously, very nice.
  6. That is nice. I got an AMT Merc for Christmas, I just can't deside what to do with it. I'm always looking for insperation for my next build.
  7. Gorgeous, absolutely gorgeous. Those old cougars always look good in bright colours. Box stock or not, that is awesome. I makes me wish I could have afforded the 1:1 I saw a few years back. It was not an eliminator, no engine/trans and needed some rust repair work. For $1500 it could have been mine. I just finished college and had no money.
  8. It really depends on the what style you are building. If you are building a vintage street machine, go with the slots, to be different, it seems everybody uses five spoke wheels. If you are building a modern street machine, go with the parts box (amt phantom vicky) wheels. Either way, lower the front-end, to get a good rake for that bad boy.
  9. I'm glad you are getting a better response than I got. I can use these tips to get my project under way, again.

    1966 Mustang

That is a sweet 'stang. The paint is beautiful.
  11. Super sweet! I've wanted to see how one of these goes together myself, but can not find one locally. I may have to hit Evil-bay. That motor (265) looks to be from the AMT 55 Belair. Don't forget to add the top mount oil-filter, from AMT's 55 pick up kit.
  12. Nice, I love the paint.
  13. That J is lookin' sweet. Too bad about the clear, the paint was sweet. I'm lovin' the "firefighter" Mustang II front frame. I've got the 80's issue in my stash, but I plan to build it box stock, Gasser. What do you have planned for Motor-vation?
  14. Looks like a sweet cruiser. Is it a kit or resin? The white-walls and chrome steelies really set off the paint.
  15. All those rides are killer. The 'vette especially. With its short wheelbase and BIG BAD BLOWN HEMI, I would love to run that on the strip. Nice work, dragnut26
  16. Nice, reminds me of my first car. A 1980 Rustang notchback, 200ci inline 6 with an auto, in 96. Originally black with red on the sides . Got a job (I was 15) and save all summer, to buy it. Worked on it all winter, then before I could even drive it, my father "road tested it" and blew the motor. What did I get for all my trouble, you ask... an 87 Chevette.
  17. Nice 'Stang. That "Big Block Ford" looks like it's from Revell's 69 Shelby, but the exhaust manifolds are from AMT's 68 Shelby. Are those slicks on the back?
  18. I want one. I don't care for the "bonneville" body, but with a little scrapbuilding it would make a nice "home-built" go kart.
  19. DON'T POLISH IT!!! How many old sckool drag cars have mirror paint? I love it just the way it is, wheels and all.
  20. Them's fightin' words. I, personally, love all cars, 1/1 or other wise. I don't build them because I don't build factory stock, so they have little appeal to me and I could never afford one. I have a few Revell Ferraris in my collection. I still like them, but I just don't build them.
  21. I have a stupid question. 2000 what?
  22. Nice 55. I've loved them since I saw "Two Lane Blacktop" about 15 years ago.
  23. I must make a correction, as there seems to be some misunderstanding. I would not use BMF but some metallizer paint To represent bare metal about a scale inch on both sides of the weld. I might add that some of us do not have access to MCM other than through this forum. I know I don't, but still enjoy this site very much, thank you.
  24. Looking sweet. Actually, Bumblebee was a GTO with a Concept Camaro body. While filming, GM was unwilling to put the Camaro Concept in harms way, or lose the time that filming takes. As far as I know they use the same platform (chassis structure).
  25. You have crazy mad skills there. I've seen the lambo, but not the truck or the lowrider.
