  1. One of the guys over on R/C Crawler found this, it's an old Army jeep with the hood and roof made from the remains of a B-17!
  2. One of the two suction cup mounts for my recently aquired Mobius Camera came in at work today, it's only taken nearly a month and 3 or 4 orders to get and they didn't bother shipping the second one. Now here's the kicker, they never went out of stock and even charged us for the last ones they "shipped".........
  3. Maybe all the goodies from that kit tooled up to fit the new Tri-5's
  4. Sounds like typical Saturday TV programming to me, if I'm tired and it's midday, I've done that too.
  5. Almost forgot, Dad decided to pull the wheel cylinders on the back of my Jeep today, apparently they didn't fight him with the lines into the cylinders as well as the bolts holding them to the backing plates! Not bad considering they are factory parts and the truck has a "Born On Date" of 1/98! That made Dad very happy, his XJ's fought him regularly when he had them.
  6. They're out there, mostly based out of the St. Louis, MO area. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HrvoyT5hSBg
  7. Not Indy Car either, but if it reduces racing deaths, nothing wrong with that.
  8. Not good that I looked at that link Casey, now I think I might try that roadster from the AMT Pacer I bought a month or so back!
  9. Honestly Harry, I'm kinda surprised he didn't, I remember something about getting busted outside some inner city "projects" tower with recently purchased drugs on him back when I was still in high school.
  10. I've picked up a couple reissues of the Revell '59 Caddy for cheap because of box damage, after looking athow they packed that big Caddy, I'm almost nervous about buying a good kit for fear it's in the same shape!
  11. They must have somebody from the Toy's "R" Us warehouse working for them, when I worked there, we would get a screw driver or hammer sent to the store in a large, plastic tote that would hold a weeks worth of shampoo when I worked at OSCO.
  12. That woukd still be fun to do as an adult too :D
  13. Wow, don't see cab overs like that much any more, been several years for me!
  14. Picked up some O Gauge trees today.
  15. Haven't played anything on 360 in a while, with all that went on with Mom this year, I've hardly run any of my R/C stuff and my 200 hasn't had a bath since April!
  16. Maybe design the molds so that the shared parts are in one mold, then have the model specific stuff in a second and third mold that can be pulled and put into use for which ever is being made at that time.
  17. How would that compare to the Mobius Hudsons then, with the exception of wheelbase? They have different bodies, chrome and interior bits? Same with the MPC/AMT GMT800 trucks, having the 88-89 vs 90-95 grills, long bed vs short bed vs Sportside bed, small block vs big block, then the USA-1 monster truck version. There's also the Revell '32 Fords with dozens of potential build variations over the product line.
  18. I'm kinda curious, if some company wanted to do both a Javelin and an AMX, how much could they share between the two kits? Seems like the drivetrain, suspension, separate front end pieces, some of the interior and rolling stock could be shared between kits, then do the body, floor, specific interior, and driveshaft specific to the two separate models.
  19. Dang, that was close! Dad came close back in the 80's out in Wyoming out in the middle of nowhere and a guy on the Jeep forum I go on came close in his own driveway several years back, it's never good!
  20. Mom is home from from the hospital again, plus without any sidetrips to other care facilities first!
  21. We've had to call our local FD numerous times to get Mom to the hospital and they have brought out some decently sized equipment for it, nothing that big for this small town though. They were here again this past Sunday (and yes, we will be spending Thanksgiving at the Hospital), there was even a uniformed officer with them in an older, body on frame with 4wheel independant suspension unmarked Explorer this time.........which is a first?!
