  1. It's like a car wreck, we just can't look away!
  2. Wow, you guys have had horrible luck of late, sorry about your loss.
  3. At least you're getting back into it already and good luck with the insurance company!
  4. The kid did pretty darn good! He's better than a lot of the adults around here are
  5. LOL, Dad was mostly in Maintenance of Way in most of his years in the industry, and that's about right..........Come to think of it, I think we still have that sign around here somewhere too
  6. I always kinda liked the rooflines on the '88 and newer Cavaliers, kinda reminded me of the '59-'62 "Bubbletop" roofs.
  7. I wonder if they lowered that beast or if all the bondo just weighed it down to that altitude
  8. I knew somebody that had an all white LX 5.0 like the one shown, very nice car!
  9. Dad is retired, he worked for the C&NW and the EJ&E, the retirement is very nice!
  10. I was born in Ames, but have spent most of my life in suburban Chicago.
  11. Ditto! Something else too, if there is a kit, will it be based off a real car, a "correct" kit car, or will we get another Miami Vice Ferrari...................
  12. Oh.................You meant THAT kind of Bad
  13. dang it, now I want to build a ratty looking Barbie Jeep
  14. Not sure on the more southern highways George, last I heard most area roads were back in business by the time I got home from work Friday night. Stopped by the Fox River between Batavia and Geneva to take some pics, while heading out to North Aurora to fill the 200 with E-85. And the water looks to have gone down in the last couple days too These are the rest of the pics are of how it is today and when I stopped by last July in the middle of the drought, stark difference! http://smg.photobucket.com/user/bjoehandley/media/Random%20Photographs/Park%20on%20Rte%2025%20in%20Batavia/IMG_5128_zpsd5c6c0d9.jpg.html?sort=2&o=7
  15. The Fox River is pretty deep here now too, planning on getting some pics from a favorite crawling spot to show the difference from last summer to now.
  16. Yea, I'm pulling up to work as the DJ was talking about it and he couldn't beleive how lucky the guys has been so far!
  17. I've owned a Chrysler with something similar on the hood, I kinda dig the vent in all honesty.
  18. I heard about that while heading into work today! Apparently he passed the bomb 30 seconds before it blew and was fine while his wife only recieved very minor injuries. They get home and he has a work meeting and drove past the plant shortly after it blew without any injuries to himself or apparently even to his vehicle! Needless to say, he counting his lucky stars now...........hopefully none of our flood waters end up going his way..............
  19. From what I understand, there was a call out to private boat owners to come help evacuate peope from Lisle! If it's the same sink hole as in the video I posted, that was an Avenger. Supposedly a woman and her brother both lost their cars to it and that Avenger looked like an '11-'13 model by the looks of the grill and bumper.
  20. That's good to hear. We got pretty lucky out by me, the worst flooding I saw before going into work was Roosevelt (Rt. 38) in West Chicago where the old EJ&E (now CN) tracks go over the highway by Bowling Green. The Fox River is in flood stages, which could be good considering that if it had gotten much lower, I could have driven my stock 1:1 Cherokee across it in some spots I guess there was a good sized sinkhole that opened up on one street too, gotta feel sorry for the guy who owns this Avenger, not only can't be any older than an '11, but I wouldn't be surprised if he just got it recently
  21. My store's manager is stuck at home, so I'm going in for him. Needless to say, I'm taking the Jeep...........and my camera, just in case
  22. So, anybody here in Chicago got flooding? Sound like it's pretty bad closer to the city.
  23. X2!!!!! That was bad, real bad.
  24. sorry to hear it Brian, hopefully you guys are otherwise safe and healthy.
