Quick and dirty, move the mounting pins closer to the end of the spindles then mount them so that end is closest to the lower arms. That should give the equivalent of a budget boost, anything more will probably require at least cutting loose and repositioning the arms so they're pointed downward some. After that would be to fab up your own arms and spindles for more lift than that.

Chopping and Raking '33/'34 Ford 3 Windows
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Thanks! I made the mistake of watching the new ZZ Top video and now I've got the urge to chop the Revell '34 snap kit that's layin' around at home to within an inch of it's life -
1/25 Revell '67 Dodge Coronet- Foose Edition
Joe Handley replied to Casey's topic in Car Kit News & Reviews
Could also be Foose's designs aren't too far off the original sketches too IIRC, designs many times start out impractally wild and get reworked into something that looks like the drawings but won't scare off more conservitive buyers. -
I know this is an old thread, but I just signed up for a free Live account under the name BJoe76.

Wonder if you ran the front tires a little faster than the rear, if that would make it pull straighter. Usually helps the crawlers climb better, might have worked in this case!

STILETTO! Ed's Custom Jet SPEEDER...Finished Photos!
Joe Handley replied to Ira's topic in Model Cars
It's one of my favorite TV shows, cartoon or otherwise, and looking at your creation there is perfect for that song! That's litterally the first thing I thought of when I saw the pics......and if there was a volume control knob on my brain......it would have been cranked to 11 -
If those are anything like the AMT Dodge Challenger R/T and SRT kits, they will go together nicely. I try and sell those and the few old school Craftsman kits still in circulation as good intermediate kits that will be a nice next step up from a SnapTite kit and help teach painting and glueing, but won't be as complicated or possibly overwelming as a full detail glue kit.

I didn't know you could get the Syclone in anything other than black, I knew they eventually wussed out on the Typhoon, 454SS, and Impala SS with that, but I thought the Syclone was only in black and matt black

You get a thumbs up from my kid sister now too Ira. -
Didn't have much of a chance to go to many this last year, I kept getting scheduled to work when the ones I usually would go to were happenings.

I think so, it has been the same for the Syclone, and early versions of the 454SS Pickup and Impala SS sedans too IIRC.

Bad News, Happy Hobbie burns
Joe Handley replied to Funkster's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I have heard stories like that locally with R/C tracks, even though the two involved weren't exactly close. Unfortunetly, without being part of the inner circle of the accused or knowing what the investigators have found, we would just be speculating until the investigating is done and/or someone talks. If the guy was known to have pissed people off, I wouldn't totally be surprised if yet another person went mental and this time only took it out on the business and not the staff or customers. We have had to ban one customer from coming back a couple years ago for calling drunk and argueing with everybody but myself, had another guy who was associated with the Magic tournaments get kicked out and told not to come back before that by us and other places that do FNM because of his douchebag lawyer attitude! The store manager had to throw somebody out on the 26th because of his behavior in relation to a defective vehicle that he bought from us and we would have get taken care of for him. -
I'll bet that maroon/burgundy GN was probably a T-Type with replacement GN badge on the fenders. Wouldn't take much to put a sticker or molded/cast badge on a car in the dealer's body shop, the most it might take would be a couple holes drilled if they didn't use adhesive to mount those
