  1. I checked some other reference material on this car, it's probably the reflection of the right front headlight extension of you're looking at the top right corner of the passengerside grill insert.
  2. Or readin' the same magazine IIRC, the guy left the handles because he really liked the way they looked
  3. Real, I'll post why it's real on friday or saturday I will say this though, that backdrop and lighting really throws off the look of that shade of orange that this Desoto is painted
  4. I've heard of that too, a customer who's family owns a towing service had to haul off a Wrangler that some young girl driving had done the same thing after checking the oil in it's engine!
  5. Haven't looked over the Goat's box, but the Daytona looks pretty bad on the box
  6. Good looking build GBK, I love the idea! Am I the only one who looks at that Pete Brock '46 and thinks of Greased Lighting
  7. That could have been the same gen Caprice, wouldn't be too tough to convert one of those though.
  8. Sounds like the oil change I did on my Jeep this last time, I kept looking and groping for the wrench by the tool box, which was to my right and infront of the truck by where I put the drain plug as I lay on my back under the front axle.......then found the friggin' thing to my left between me and the left front tire...........................
  9. I'm kind of afraid to check my area, some of our police will try and find a way to make you guilty even though you weren't in the state to commit the crime Now I have a question, do they pull up with the lights and sirens blairing?
  10. The hood straps did look a little off to me too, but the stuff I mentioned pushed me over the edge on calling it real.
  11. Sounds like you've seen his car in person
  12. I'm with all you guys, real! The louvers, hood straps, and the way the interior leather is bowing around the rivits/snaps just look too right to be a model.
  13. That may be necessary, I think he's been sniffing around a Cliffords catalog and is planning on "fixing" most of the rust issues too
  14. Must be like Drving a H2 or H3 then
  15. Seeing that he's got an inline instead of a SBC, , it would probably start with water in it....................................................and I wouldn't be the least bit suprised if he would try that either
  16. I'm digging the chop, but those fugly sidewindows and grill have to go
  17. Don't know why, but I'm getting a Mickey Thompson vibe from this one
  18. One of my co-workers has a real '76 Nova with the I-6........it's not in much better shape than that one, but it does run!
  19. Sorry to hear that he's passed, wonder how this will play out as the investigation moves on.
  20. Could be, but with all the weird stuff that has been floating around about him ifor all these years it's kinda hard to tell anymore....................
  21. Hehehe, I remember reading an article about Ford going to Kugel on this conversion, apperrently he had two questions for them; #1. Who Are you People? and #2. What's a Focus? Those little cars are absolute rockets with the 5.0's in them too!

    Custom VW

Neat, there was a 1/1 Bug like that in Custom Rodder (or was that Kustom Rodder) many years ago but it was a drop top from the factory instead of having to make it one like you did. I'll have to see if I can find the pics on line!
  23. Well...the ambulance would work, it wasn't only a hero truck but it also was run in the last real Cannonball!
  24. Check www.walthers.com , they're the major model railroad product distributers in the country!
