Use surround that with [ img ] [ / img ] without the spaces and it'll be fine, I usually type that and past the address into the middle between what I typed.

I'll say this guy is right on the money here.....................

Honestly Bernard, I've had it with that site and ready to go elsewhere. The app can be problematic and the actual site is constant and obnoxious pop ups when ever I've tried to access it with my lap top. I'm done with them!

just got the email in the last hour, time to remove the pics and maybe send them a letter. I might leave one pic on there, I can't post it here though, not exactly safe for here.

Apparently Photobucket has decided that if you want to continue to use their site to host pictures, they want $400 A YEAR! Looks like it is time to grab my external hd, start pulling relevent pics, then send them an f-u letter.

You know, the more I read about those little Chevy Bolts, the more interesting I find them....................... 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV Drivetrain First Look (w/Video) - Motor Trend I'm really intrigued by the motor and trans assembly in and of it self, kinda wiSh I had gone to the Chicago Auto Show this past February now Then there is the battery pack"thumbsup" No joke, I would consider buying one of these little critters, I would even consider a vanity plate for one, maybe "NGRY BRD" OR "NGRY BLT"

So long as you have access to a 120v outlet, you can plug it in at home, no need to make a special trip to a station unless you want to get something from their store. The charge time is long, but so long as you just plug it in to top it off every couple days, charge time won't be much of an obstical. Another plus is instant torque, the motor makes 266lb/ft at 0rpm, that's not a typo either. Since it has it's full torque available right now, soon as the car is powered up, there is no waiting for a surge of power as the car accellerates, it just pulls. No shifting either since it has a single speed trans, just pulls to when you let off or it hits the limiter.

That is a big advantage of the little things being so quick, especially if that is coming off a red light! That said, not sure if I could drive one in red, it would look too much like an Angry Bird in red. That's what I was thinking, use the 200 as a long hauler then look into one of those once they hit Carmax for a daily once they hit the used market. My office is 3 miles from home, all at residential speeds until I get out to that last 1/2 mile or so from the office. If I hit the highway at all during the day, it's not typically for very long and since it's electric, I could just plug in at home every 2-3 days and let it charge overnight. That alone is pretty handy! I'm amazed you fit in that thing Bill, my kid sister has a '14 R/T Classic with the fancier seats and a sun roof. I'm uncomfortable in it and I'm only 5'11", but wide, being a fat guy and all, I find it has less hip room and is all around less comfortable than my smaller 200 sedan. I do want to sit in one of those little Bolts now just to see how they feel inside. I do agree that this tech needs to find it's way into the larger platforms, also would be a great way for Buick to revive the Electra name! Use a variation of the tech on a big sedan with an upsized version of the Volt's drivetrain, maybe even with an all electric version too, Make the all electric a more basic version and call it the Electra, then add the hybrid stuff with some variation of the 2.2l Ecotec and and call that the Electra 225!

Been reading on this little Chevy Bolt lately, 14.9 in the quarter, mid 6's 0-60, over 200 mile range, and it's an all electric 4dr that likely wouldn't draw any attention unless you left a stop light with the front tires smokin'! http://www.motortrend.com/cars/chevrolet/bolt-ev/2017/2017-chevrolet-bolt-ev-vs-2016-tesla-model-s-60/

DODGE DAYTONA SHELBY WHEELS
Joe Handley replied to Jon Cole's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Check out the early AMT/ERTL Dodge Stealth R/T kits, the wheels on that should be close enough to make into those Pumper wheels. -
Hobby Shops, then and now
Joe Handley replied to Ace-Garageguy's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
If I were to get back in the game ut as an owner this time, I'd have to have a huge amount of money (lotto winnings would probably be what I would need, start with a big fortune and all) and would probably buy a closed car delaership and remodel the inside to work better as a store than a dealership. That way, there would be plenty of sales floor, storage (buying in bull reduces costs and makes it harder to not run out of product), office space/break area (which is needed and having more would be useful), use the repair bays for indoor racing and/or park fliers, then use some of that huge parking lot to run outside racing and so long as it's not too close to an airport, outside park flying too! Problem is though, that wouldntake cubic dollars, which might at best be a losing proposition in any case where I wasn't the only shop in a 50 mile radius, even if I managed to find, competent, knowlageble staff that was able to work with any customer that came in the door without making too many of them mad at us. -
Hobby Lobby made my day

I agree with Scott's recommendation, probably will go back and buy a 4mm at some point too. -
Hobby Lobby made my day
Joe Handley replied to thatz4u's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Just picked up a 1 and 2 mm pen with a sale priced AMT '41 Plymouth kit and used the coupon on one of the pens while I was at it. -
There is always the possibility that the package may not arrive with the same dimensions in left with. Don't know how many times I saw boxes come in to the stores I worked for that said things like FRAGILE and DO NOT BEND, that were crunched up, torn, folded in the middle, ect.

Joe Handley replied to thatz4u's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Yeah, not sure which is a bigger pain, them being closed on Sundays, or the store that was 2 minutes from where my office now is closed up and moved a couple towns over to a location that the traffic is a PITA to deal with, or then there is the store that is in the opposite direction from home and work, down the road from the HTU I used to work for.......that is also a PITA to get to. -

What did you see on the road today?
Joe Handley replied to Harry P.'s topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
Saw a mid 80's Chevette last night, a nice looking dark red, with tinted tail lights.......not exactly safe on that little car. -
Seems that way for a lot of child stars, it's a shame, and hard to know if it's the studio, the parents, or the culture surrounding them that is to blame.

I Read that this morning too, it's a shame that she is at gone, but as Henry Winkler said, at least she has found peace.

Balancing (too many?) hobbies/life?
Joe Handley replied to russosborne's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Problem for the whole family has to do more with Mom and her medical issues, Dad pretty much takes care of her and when we're not working and she and her BF don't have plans, we're helping him. Between work, bronchitis, and now her, I haven't picked up anynof my model projects in a while and my R/Cs haven't hardly turned a wheel at all in a couple of years or more. -
Dust Masks for Sanding?
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I Was hoping you would chime in Bill, Thank You! I had wondered about the respirator for the sanding too, although sitting on the back step of the house sounds like a good idea too. With my work hours for now, going and visiting Mom at the nursing home she will be going back into tomorrow (luckily for only 2-3 weeks) can only be done on the weekends, I'll need to do things to kill time between getting done eating dinner and going to bed. -
Dust Masks for Sanding?
Joe Handley replied to Joe Handley's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I Had thought that some of it from the past couple years was solder fumes, but considering I've picked up an iron once in the last 10 months, that's what made me think there is a chance of cronic bronchitis might be a possibility. I will say this too, after reading what I did on the subject, now I know why smokers kinda want to punch people who constantly tell them to quick smoking. Seemed like every paragraph I read started with "quit smoking", I rarely smoke tires and r/c electronic gear let alone anything else and it was starting to piss me off, of course, I was tired, sick, it was 1:30-2:00am and I couldn't sleep because of the med's side effects, so that likely didn't help. Oh, I did talk to one of the women taking care of Mom at the hospital to see if she had any suggestions, she did tell me her Dad uses ones for construction that are "Tee-Pee" shaped to keep crud out of his lungs. -
Has anybody used dust masks while sanding and doing other bodywork on their models? After getting brochitis a couple weeks back, with the thought I may have had it the last 2 springs and then reading about cronic bronchitis while on meds and not being able to sleep, I got to thinking that using a mask of some sort to protect my lungs from plastic and filler dust from now in might not be a bad idea. Anybody do this and/or can suggest what to use?
-
Thanks again, if I heard Dad right, she might end up back in the nursing home she had spent time in prior in the last couple years. It's a haul to get there compared to the hospital she is in right now (a whole 3 miles from home), but it too is a good place.
