  1. If only !..... Imagine it now message from round 2, Hey guys guess what tooling we have found !, yes the indy drag combo will be making a comeback soon !
  2. Tom if that kit fought you all the way you still did a great job, I love the understated look of it and I'll also echo the comments on the vinyl roof looks great. I built this kit last year and I have to admit it was a pleasure to build I really enjoyed it, the only thing lacking for me is the lack of detail of the top shock/strut mounts on the inner fenders. Great job mate.
  3. I must be getting upto 135 kits now, I buy and sell now and again but my buying ratio is always more ! lol.
  4. Some of you guys must have been very unfortunate, my kit is absolutely spot on no real noticable flaws, a couple of very small sink marks but no more than Id expect. And the eggshell finish is a strange effect as we are so used to super smooth plastic (which we normally scuff up to paint! lol) but get a coat of primer on and its gone ?. The only thing that does bug me is the lack of hood hinges, but Ill live with it.
  5. I use it mostly because Im in the UK and I wanted an alternative to Squadron which I do not like. It works great for me, smooth to apply dries fast and sands beautifully, and also as already mentioned its solvent free. Ive had a tube for over a year now and its not dried in the tube either which is good news. I use a fair amount of Deluxe products and they are very good indeed.
  6. Nice to see whats in the kit cheers Christian, I turned one of these down a few years back in a trade, sort of wish I hadn't now !.
  7. Hi all Ive just aquired the newest "Revell muscle" release of the 1/24th 78 Pontiac Firebird, as you probably all know the decal sheet that comes with this kit has no Trans Am decals. Is there anyone in the aftermarket that does a proper Blackbird sheet for this model with the Trans AM scripts and the gold accents etc. I have looked at Keith Marks fotki page but he only seems to do them for the 1/25 MPC kit and they dont come with the gold pinstriping etc. Any help would be appreciated many thanks.
  8. Al you work so fast man ! Lol, fantastic job on this one, I receieved mine in the UK a few days back along with the Ranger, and Im fighting temptation to get them straight onto the bench and getting them built.
  9. Great work Tony, I missed out on this combo kit 1st time around, hopefully round 2 will reissue it one day.
  10. For me it has to be several of the old AMT repops, such as the 65 GTO, 67 GTO, 70 & 72 Chevelles and the like, they are really long in the tooth, most of the time have innacurate chassis and engine bay detail. But I just love building those old kits .....so much fun !
  11. Great videos Chris, always look forward to your reviews mate, thanks for putting them up
  12. Fantastic work Tory, narrowing the bed has made a huge improvement, and that paintwork !, seriously good masking work there. Im very slowly building this truck at the moment its my 1st big rig kit ever (Ive built loads of cars/vans) you have given me some serious inspiration here, but Id never get the paint that good! Lol.
  13. Agree Matt its far too pricey for me which is such a shame, fingers crossed MCM will go digital at some point for all us non US fans of the magazine. Geoff, Smiths have stopped selling the other magazine down my way too, but like you said its available online so not a problem. Ive had one single copy of MCM from a few years back which I keep thumbing through, and its the better magazine of the two to me, just so frustrating in this day and age of digital everything its not available unless you are willing to pay well over the odds for a subscription.
  14. Great job Al, I also cant wait till my 2 kits arrive...sad thing is they take a bit longer to arrive on these shores
  15. Jason that is just stunning mate !, great work
  16. If it was available as on online downloadable subscription Id be more than happy to take out a full sub, I prefer to read them on my tablet these days than have them cluttering up the house. I cant be the only one thats ever asked for MCM to go digital surely (waiting for the flack now about cost prohibitive etc Lol) I did manage to find the current issue online but they want $42 shipping for one magazine which is an absolute joke, but Ill keep trying.
  17. Hi all Can anybody let me know if there is anywhere I can purchase MCM over here in the UK? I can get the "other" magazine no problem but MCM remains elusive. I know about subscribing but the cost is quite prohibitive, I'm really just looking for the current issue no 194. If anybody can help me out please drop me a pm,I'd be very greatful. Gary
  18. Great job mate, I love it
  19. Great work Rob, I had a very similar idea to do the same with my Econoline kit. good use of the round 2 decals too!
  20. Great idea Bob, but Ill put money on it that Revell will pop a Ranchero from this tooling one day.......
  21. Bang in the middle 50 for me .....
  22. Thanks for the decal scan Don, and thanks Dave for the photos of the kit contents ....Ill definitely be getting one of these ! .
  23. Don that would be great if you could, thankyou in adavance.
