  1. Beautiful!!! When I ordered my new '69 I could not get white on black (liked your model) because GM had instituted a moratorium on Tuxedo Black. They had been experience quality problems with their black paint and refused to sell or take orders for black Camaros and Corvettes (don't know if it was across the board ~ I wasn't interested in a Bel Air!!!). Later on, they solved the issue and resumed selling black 'Maros and 'Vettes, but by then I already had my Frost Green 'Maro ... Back to your model: Beautiful build, beautiful finish ... But ... what's the problem with the hood? Is it a resin piece that warped on you? Still a great model, Jamie, despite the hood issue!
  2. I'm wondering if there's any significant difference between the IMEX/ARII kit# 31002-2400 and the Heller kit# 71262 ~~ or if the kits are the same but just marketed under different brands. They are both 1/24 scale 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz convertibles and would seem likely to be the same tooling, but the IMEX/ARII kit has photos of the actual 1:1 car as box art and the Heller kit has only artist illustrations as box art. Both are sealed, and I don't want to unseal them ... unless no one knows about the contents. Heller kit# 71262: IMEX/ARII kit# 31002-2400: Thanks in advance.
  3. They both show a strong resemblance to Frosty the Snowman!
  4. Attention Mere Earthlings and Martinfan5(5)! I, too, have an Ecto 1, Ecto 1A, and other assorted and sundry gizmos. Ye shall see a 'boolance of unequalled proportions and comportions issuing forthe forthwith. Ye may saye ye saw it first here. Just wanted to warn my eager young friend Fartinman5(5).
  5. Close but just not quite right. Accuracy in proportions? We agree to disagree. Probably doesn't look too bad in as small a scale as 1/32 but it just wouldn't fly in 1/25 as it currently sits. When one considers how much you'd have to charge for a 1/25 product, a customer should be able to expect it to be closer in fidelity. I respect and admire your efforts to pull it off, but I just don't think you're there yet. And, of course, you're a whole lot closer than anyone else has ever gotten before! Gotta give you credit for that, too, Gareth! Keep on.
  6. I don't have an avatar, I just have a rather nice portrait image of myself.
  7. I'm not having that problem, David, and I work exclusively off the "New Content" selector, too.
  8. Like the man said ... of course, if you don't .... your project will never be done!
  9. Just bring money, Martinfan5(5).
  10. Or, even change for the worse is change some people hope for.
  11. I have something for you, Martinfan5(5). See you Saturday.
  12. Does that door in the back count? That would make it ... 5 .... wouldn't it?
  13. ScaleFinishes has the perfect formula. However, he's not taking orders for the time being. But well worth the wait. Keep an eye on his website. www.scalefinishes.com
  14. Bidgin'! Farm Out, Erik!
  15. On your MARK! ... get ready ... get set ...
  16. Indeed! But competition is always tough at Desert Scale Classic! A hard-fought category for certain.
  17. And there, folks, you have the "priceless" money shot! A great truck hauling a great load. Congrats again, Tom.
  18. Still very cool!
  19. Roof is way off, all pillars are too thick, "B" pillar is slanted forward instead of rearward, the rear door fixed windows are way off, all the fender corners and creases are too soft, too rounded, the front fascia is curved instead of pointed (looking down from above)[in fact, the front end looks more like a '76 Chevy than a Ford], rear bumper nowhere close. If it is a master-in-progress, then it has a long way to go yet. This one is not as rough as that 1/32 Monaco that was floating around awhile back, but it's far from industry standard for correctness. But the picture shows it in paint ... then it must not be a master-in-progress ... if this is the final configuration, I wouldn't pay $9.50 for it let alone $95.00. The pictured car almost looks like an HO version ... you know how "soft" body lines are in HO scale. Just MHO. Keeping my wallet safely tucked away.
