  1. Some very classic ideas with a modern flare. ?
  2. Yeah, but heck you gotta wait for Santa anyway, so's might as well use the time "constructively" ?
  3. Yeah, but is it legal ? ? Seriously looks like a good project to get be creative on. ?
  4. OHHH, pretty car..
  5. Sorry about the repaint, as well. But at least this way you will have the fun of masking and painting the stripes to look forward to.?
  6. Very nice bit of work going on there. I like how you handled the "cockpit" showing the various surface textures.
  7. Regardless of how you finish this beauty, it is a mind blowing example of kit and scratch building combined. The added details and equipment is bringing it over the top. Oh, and I know you're going to check the oil before you set out on your ski trip?
  8. Gottta say this is so great to see, not only what you are adding/building but to see How you do what you do. Great save on the turn signals too.
  9. Ahh, the sound still haunts my memory. I was working for a company and all our sales cars were Bugs. Mostly late 70's early 80's. Differant ones would be rotated in every so often. So I got to learn the "automatic-ish" transmission. . Lots of zippy going around and lots of fun (never told my boss that though). The job of work you are doing on this is impressive, Am enjoying the experience of seeing your build come together.
  10. Well Done. Your hard work paid off, she looks outstanding.
  11. How are they able to achieve compliance with U.S. Federal vehicle requirements? (bumpers side impact, headlights , etc.etc.) Or are they only for "off road" use?
  12. Yeah sure this works (and really darn clever too ) but what am I going to do with all those stainless steel nuts and the battery powered egg beater? Hugh? bet ya didn't think of that did ya? never mind
  13. I agree/understand re: the market size and I agree there should be more Toyota kits. Especially current day trucks: first, second, third gen Tocomas. as well a Tundras and always hoped for T100s. Sigh
  14. Very impressive transformation of a old kit. Bet that is what the Pyro kit makers whished they had, had to sell
  15. Very nice recreation. The use of "old school" and kit bashin' is fun to watch.
  16. Outstanding work. Thank You for showing us your accomplishment .
  17. Pavel Congratulations ! Once again you have created a masterpiece.
  18. Gentlemen Thank you for the kind and warm welcome. Yes, Jesse I have been cobbling together some airplanes of WWII era, which is my "go to" area (I just haven't gone there much,) since re-starting. I thought that I should practice for The Perfect P-51 or whatever , so I'm work'n at building a car and now a truck....Who knew?...it would be that much fun....usually. As I screw up my courage I'll start a post of the current project an old Revell Gas Truck. Again thanks All.
  19. Hi guys; just joined and as I am slowly being drawn into building cars and trucks, I was glad to find this site. I'll most likely just quietly lurk for awhile to get acquainted .... or not Never at a loss to jump in to learn more or offer a thought.
