So here are some more progress photos... Building the Iconic Bad man has been on my list for some time now I'm glad to finally get it off the box and onto the Bench and into my case.

This is a great design!

No I just took a chance on them coming apart in the water but I did use decal set to apply them and I clear coated the body afterwards.

I'm back from the club meeting and I have pics. Three members were no shows so it wasn't as big as I'd hoped for. But the rest of the guys came through. I kinda thought there would be some progress stages and some finished ones and that's pretty much what it was.

I'm gonna show a start to finish build on my bad man 55 revell kit. It's the "Surprise guest" that I'm bringing to the ACME club meet tonight. Instead of the Out of proportion old monogram kit, I went with the Newer Revell 55 hardtop. The only thing used from the original badman was the decals and I've had for about 25 years...they worked nicely not bad for originals... thanks for looking

Dang! Thats some awesome work there! Are you adding 56 trim as well? I'd like to see this build when it's done... I assume you glued the doors shut? -

This is what I call some drastic plastic! My goodness, I thought we were chopping these things up... You weren't kidding around, This far exceeds the limit sir. I'm getting geared up for the club meet tomorrow. Nice bed floors! My favorite thing about the build so far aside from the whole thing that is! -

Good post! With the 4 door as long as you have the main ingredients there it's definitely getting the point across and probably not alot 4 door savants out there to pick out what may or may not be wrong with it in the end. I do appreciate accuracy but oftentimes it's one's own critical obsession standing in the way of completion. -

espo, yeah Full Custom Garage with Ian Roussel... it was a build based on an artist named Johnny Jalopy. It was his drawing that Ian built the project from. Awesome show and it's what our inspiration came from to start building these little buses. You should get yourself one, you never know what you can do until you get into it. I think you have the skill set to do enough to make it different. I say go for it! -

It's been said before but I'll say it agian, the possibilities are endless on this kit! I'm starting another one this weekend! I've been studying yours and I'm thinking about doing the same to mine only the bus version of yours instead....and adding a hatchback as an entry and filling the side doors in... I've come up with a couple more ideas while writing this post Heres a rendering that I thought would be cool also... P.S. I wonder if any 1.1 car builders will stumble onto this site someday And think "dang I've gotta build me a real one now"! Lol! -
ACME (Agusta County Model Enthusiasts) has an honorary member! I Can't wait to see this finished, great work so far Dave!

My favorite kit of all time... I've built about 50! I'd go with the look that makes it work the best, theres not alot of room in those wheelwells...
-
I'd only briefly thought about what to use if I was gonna tackle that hot wheels. The kit I thought about was the 34 sedan. But you may be on to something with the speedwagon. I'm thinking about build the "Dixie Challenger" Hot wheels.

And finally I entered it in the MDA model contest back in march where it finished second in it's class...

Before I was a member on here I built this 1/12 57 chevy from junk parts out of my brother's barn. This was one of his leftover kits from his modeling days. I collected some missing parts from some other modelers and 3 weeks later It was finished. Anyway, I hope you don't mind me adding an old build to the forum. Thanks for checking it out and thanks to everyone on here who continue to inspire me, and I hope to inspire others as well...

57 chevy four door hard top or sedan

Thanks guys, for the input... I am aware of the differences, but I thought if I had enough resources I could make the changes. I have access to a Monogram 57 big scale Junkyard. I'd probably buy a new one also just to have a fresh kit to start with. I'm thinking about cutting the Body center of the roof and just before the door opening. Sacrificing a junk body, I could make it longer. Then I think for the front windsheild I could add the height fairly easy. The rear will have to be raised also. since I prefer the sedan I'll have to add side windows frames also and recut the doors also. I'm still gathering data on this project so I'm not ready to get out the saw quite yet. -
I'm thinking I'd like to build a 12th scale 4 door 57 Chevy cop car. I know it seems a bit ambitious and maybe not even possible but I'm doing some research to see if it is. The 57 Monogram 1/12 kit is the only 4 door based car available that I can think of. I need to get as much imput as possible. Have you ever turned any 2 door into a 4 door? Is a 4 door longer wheel base? The roof longer? Will I have to add height to the roof? What lays ahead for this project... Thanks ahead... here are a couple pics of what I'd like to have as an end result...

The custom fleetside has my vote and l love what you're doin great builds and great concept!

It's Awesome what you've done to this kit. I never thought this bodystyle was that great and always liked the 60-65 covair better. But I have one of these kits and the more I study it the more I like the 69. Wouldn't it be great if Revell tooled a front engine gasser 63 corvair? I'd buy it...
