Thank you all for the encoragement. On the CF though I was a little dissapointed, the pictures make it look alot better than it really does. It was my first try win CF decals though. I wish you luck with yours

It might be a long shot, but I figure if there's a way, someone on here has done. I want to do a working convertible top, maybe even a hardtop convertible. Any one ever done this? And if so, do you have instructions?

Im sure someone on here can answer this. Ive seen a few Enzo's on this here. Here Is what the brake parts look like. And this is the PE disk It doesnt fit! Ive only used PE parts a couple of times, but every time I did the disk's had a cutout so that it would fit around the calliper. What do I do?

So, I am finally starting my Ferrari Enzo, Ive been waiting months, and am really excited about this build. Only problem, alot of carbon fiber. Ive tried carbon fiber decals before and not had any luck, it looked horrible, and I dont want to mess this one up. I noticed while looking a 1:1 pics that there is even more carbon fiber on this car than the kit provides for and have a sheet of uncut decals in preparation for it. I need all the tips I can get on getting these on right. Ive tried decal set in the past, Im sure Im using it wrong, cause I can never get stuff like this to go well. I wanna hear it all, and see pictures (step by step if you got em). Thanks in advance

I thought about that, I blacked out the headlights and taillights. I want some light to come thought the windows, not a very dark tint just what would look a little darker than factory. I also considered getting some scraps from the tinter at work, but I dont see him very often, and I dont know how well it would work.

I know Ive seen tip on window tinting somewhere on this forum, and Ive searched for it, but I cant find it. Ive tried that "Tint" spray paint once, with really bad results. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.

So the nightmare continues. I decided to ignore the chip in the paint and just paint over it. I doesnt look great but its ok. I masked off for the next step in the paint job and it came out pretty good. When I pulled off the masking, I realized I forgot to mask the underside of the car and I got some overspray on the hood. If anyone knows a way to get rid of it, i would really appreciate it. Other wise, Im gonna sand it down and repaint that section tomorrow. Also, when I took off the masking, this cracked. Im not to worried about it though. It should got back together pretty cleanly.

I dont know anything about the chrome, I havent tried it, but as far as the flocking goes, I was taught to do it in 2 steps, and from What I like the results much better. First brush on the white elmers glue and sprinkle on the flocking. Let that dry and do it one more time, put the elmers glue on right over the first covering of flocking and sprinkle it on again. Im not a pro by any means but Ive been much more satisfied with this method. Also, unrelated, this is the first time Ive posted a tip on here, for anything, so please, let me know what if you guys think it helped.

I started this off by filling in the seams between the bumpers and the body and they kept breaking. I got that taken care of and started to paint it, but wasn't happy with it, so I decided to shave the door handles and fill in the spaces for the license plates, that went ok, just took a long time to get it all smooth. I used the same paint in both pictures except that I changed the base coat from silver to white. I was finally happy with the color and all my modifications, grabbed it out of the paint booth and dropped it. The bumper seam cracked and the paint chipped. When its help together tight, you cant see the crack through the paint, so im not to worried about that, I think I can get it glued back well enough, but can I fix the chips in the paint without starting over? I really don't want to start over.

Look great. I bought the Tamiya kit and P.E. parts about a month before I moved, and cant wait to start it, but I havent set up my hobby table yet.

I work on "modded" cars all week and most of them are pathetic. Dont paint the vette emblem red!!!! If your gonna paint it keep it subtle. I say remove it altogether, everyone knows thats a vette, and if they dont they have no business being around cars.

No offense, but Id go for a Chevy powered Ford any day.

You gotta have the black panel. It look so boring without it.

I built that same model years ago in yellow, I think cause it was yellow on the box. I dont have it anymore, but yours looks way better than mine did.

I have yet to chop one myself, but I think it would look great chopped.
